The choice for scratch!
The Shure M44-7 Competition DJ Cartridge features extreme skip resistance, lowest record burn, ultrahigh output, and especially strong bass. Spherical stylus tip. 1.5-3 grams tracking range. 9.5mV output.
The Shure M44-7 is the industry standard for scrath needles in much the smae way that Technics 1200 have been the inustry standard for hip hop DJ's(though the Technics place has been eroded to some degree). If you are doing to sample with your record player, I would suggest another needle. Althuogh this needle gives you decent sound, there are needles with better across the board frequency responses. If you are looking for a quality scratch needle, look no furhter.

The Shure M44-7 is a standard for serious DJ's, especially turntablists and for good reason. When I first got them, I popped 'em in my turntables and was instantly hit with a loud punchy sound that none of my prior cartridges had. I've used 4 or 5 different carts, all of which were good quality DJ style, and this knocked them all out. I didn't understand exactly what 'ultrahigh output' would do for me until I tried these; they're just louder, and louder=better. Definitely would rebuy if needed.

I've been djing for about 4 years and I have tried a whole lot of products. These are the best needles for the money. Since the cd revelation most dj's are moving away from vinyl. Needles are expensive and these are the best for the money. You never want to buy cheap products and these are the best bang for your buck. Any amature or professional dj will find these to your liking
