Overview

The Shubb Original C-Series 12-String Capo is 2-1/4 in. and slightly curved to better fit any steel string guitar with a wide fretboard. Choose either nickel-plated or plain brass finish.

The Original C-Series capo features a patented locking action that provides an unrivalled combination of power, speed, accuracy and ease of use. One smooth flip of the lever locks the capo securely in place-and removes it just as quickly.

And the Shubb 12-string capo doesn't create tuning problems. Its soft, resilient rubber is specially designed to work just like a fingertip, so it doesn't bend the strings over the frets. Its closing action is just like your hand, so the Shubb Original C-Series 12-String Guitar Capo doesn't pull your strings off-center. As a result, no re-tuning is necessary.

Love this classic Shubb capo. I too use the 12-string model because it can work on 6-string guitars as well. I admit to taking it for granted and purchasing a Planet Waves capo but now I see the difference. This capo has a good solid weight and is easily set and removed. It's particularly good if you regularly capo at a certain fret. I have had my last one for over 10 years and it has never failed.

The issue with any of the capos for 12 string guitars on the market is having an evenly sufficient
clamping on the fret in order to get a quality result, namely, where all of the strings sound well, without
buzz or that thumpy, muted tone. Unfortunately, the problem has not been solved. While not perfect, the Kyser capos are quick, easy to use, and get the job done. Years ago, Hamilton made some good capos, but I believe the company is no longer around.

Great capo, easy, does the job

    By Songwriter99

Comments about Shubb Original C-Series 12-String Guitar Capo:

This is my preferred capo. It's easy to use, easy to adjust, fits in my pocket okay, and doesn't slip or come undone. Because I play 12-string sometimes, and 6-string sometimes, I just buy the 12-sting models and use them on both. It works fine.

Comments about Shubb Original C-Series 12-String Guitar Capo:

I was trying to use the capo I use on my 6 strings, but It didn't have the gripping power I needed. The Shubb solved my problem.....It works great!

    Hmm, I don't get it.

    By Michael Powers

    from Columbus, Ohio

Comments about Shubb Original C-Series 12-String Guitar Capo:

I own the 6 string or C series Shubb. Works Great; nice even tension. When I received my recent 12 string Shubb I noticed that the bar was almost like an elbow. When I tried it on my 12 string electric, string pairs 3 and 4 were not properly depressed no matter how much tension I applied with the capo; dead sounding strings. Guitar Center sent me a new 12 string Shubb to replace it. The second seems identical to the first I received, however it works great even on the 1st fret. It did seem identical, so I don't get it. Only to say the Guitar Center took good care of me by shipping out the replacement quickly.

    Shubb 12-string Brass Capo

    By Michael Barden

    from Gorham, ME

Comments about Shubb Original C-Series 12-String Guitar Capo:

Very pleased with this capo, now that I finally have it... Wasn't in stock at my local GC, so I had to special order it. Anyway, now I have it and it more than meets my expectations. Used a Shubb on my 6-string, and really didn't consider anything else for use on the 12. I did look, but didn't see anything that made me change my mind. I whole-heartily recommend it!
