  • Shubb's are the industry standard

As reviewed by Dogstarr1 on 9/27/2006

What can you really say bad about a Shubb Capo all the pro's use them for a reason, they make them right, they feel solid and they aren't anything hi-tech and fancy, they just work. I suppose this is their "fancy model", the Shubb standard works fine too, but I have this one and you probably should too if you're looking for a capo for an electric.

  • Love It!

As reviewed by Mike T on 1/5/2010

I've played guitar for 7 years using the Keyser capo, and it served me well until I developed the ability to hear that the capo made the strings sharp. It may be okay playing by myself, but it wouldn't work well when playing with a band. I wondered if it was just my capo, googled around, and found people recommending the Shubb. I've tried it out for two weeks, and I am delighted with its ability to adjust pressure. In addition, it doesn't block the fingering hand much. Oh, and it looks so sleek. The cons are dependent upon your situation. It takes two hands to put it on, which is slower than the Keyser. When taking it off it tends to make a "plunk" sound against the strings if not careful, which isn't good when mic'd. Also, the length of the rubber that goes over the strings isn't meant to be capo'd at really high frets, e.g. 8. You can get it to fit, but it takes timely and careful positioning.

  • excellent capo

As reviewed by Steve on 7/15/2009

In my opinion, this is the best capo on the market. It is easy to use and is unobtrusive. My other Shubb capo "disappeared", so I replaced it with the deluxe model. My old one was good, and this one is even better. I like the roller action.
