The Shredneck Dreadneck is an acoustic-style practice neck which features gold hardware, bronze acoustic strings, a rosewood fingerboard, acoustic-style inlays, and strap knobs. Tuner tips and a gig bag included.
The Shredneck is a small, portable practice tool for guitarists that provides the feel of a guitar, strings and frets. The headstock doubles as the body to provide a "balanced" feel.
Allows guitar players to warm up anytime a guitar is not convenient-in a car, train, plane, at the office, before gigs, between sets, watching TV or in anticipation of playing guitar. Use the Shredneck to work on scales, patterns and techniques, practice chord fingerings and movements along with building and maintaining calluses. The Dreadneck is modeled after the first seven frets of a standard electric guitar but is useful for acoustic guitar players too.
While the Shredneck is strung for right-handed guitarists, it can be easily converted for left-handed players.

I just received my Shredneck Dredneck and upon unpacking was not impressed with the quality of the product I received. Even though I ordered/paid for a new device, I received what looked like a used device. The packing was excellent, however, one string was bent and there were visible scratches and blemishes on the wood. Another note, is that the color of the wood is more blond/gold than natural as in the above picture. After tuning the string tension, the bent string straightened out some with minor crimping. As far as operation, it does serve the purpose it is intended for. I had no expectation of a tune as this is not a guitar. Saying that, I find I must be looking at the device to ensure I am playing the right string/note as opposed to being able to identify an error by ear when I am playing guitar. However, my purpose for this device is to practice my finger pattern/techniques/chords etc. while I am at work or in front of the TV. I hate to give this product such a low rating because I think it will help in my self-study for learning to play guitar. However, not only was the product quality subpar, but when I got my confirmation for store pickup the sales associate failed to include the in-store item I paid for in my order, making me have to return to the store. I think I would think twice before I order from GC again, sorry :(
I bought this for my son as a Christmas gift. He loves it. It is great for practicing when you can't lug around a full sized guitar.
