Overview

What a great feeling it is, when you are sure that the instrument you are holding in your hands is 100% in tune! This gives you a safe feeling and speeds up your creativity.

So far, common tuners are either not handy, unattractive or were forgotten at home.

Fortunately, those problems belong to the past. With Shadow's chromatic tuner you own an onboard tuner which, after its easy and quick installation, becomes the heart of your instrument. Once installed the stylish tuner fits ergonomically in the soundhole of your instrument and assures perfect tuning at any time.

It does not require any permanent alterations to the instrument, thus is the perfect choice where a precision, high-quality tuner is needed for an instrument in which such alterations are undesirable. It works with a high-quality microphone and can be used independently from your pickup system. Automatic, comfortable, fast and especially invisible to the audience and unaffected by ambient noise.

With the Sonic Tuner you are able to tune your instrument more than 1,200 times without changing the batteries. The bright LEDs are absolutely accurate and don't shuttle like LEDs of other tuners do.

Sometimes the smallest things cause the biggest change.

Comments about Shadow Sonic Tuner For Acoustic Guitar Soundholes:

I want to say this is a fine sound hole tuner. The best time to install the tuner is when you change your strings. This will make it easy to put it in right. The Shadow Sonic Tuner is a very good tuner. I put it in the sound hole of my Guild 12-string acoustic guitar, and it does a great job!! I believe it will tune anything!! I have another guitar that I will get one for it soon. The battery will last along time. It looks and works great, and only you can see it. I will say it is reliable. I should have used it before! The head stock tuners are good, but if you have an acoustic guitar, I believe you should try it! You will be happy you did!

Great Tuner!

Comments about Shadow Sonic Tuner For Acoustic Guitar Soundholes:

This is by far your best option if you have a guitar that does not have an onboard tuner, but wish that it did. It is a little difficult to mount, as you will have to loosen or remove your strings, and the velcro mounting system does leave something to be desired, but once in, it works like a charm. You will wonder where this has been all your life, and will not miss clipping on headstock tuners, and the like. It is a great value for the price, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it.

Slick unit!

Comments about Shadow Sonic Tuner For Acoustic Guitar Soundholes:

I like it! Installation is easy, if you have any mechanical ability. It weighs about 0.85 oz., and didn't change the tone of my Larivee in any way I can hear. The only nit I could pick is that the on/off switch is a little clumsy to reach, at least for my chunky hands and stubby fingers. I use lots of open tunings and am always changing back and forth, so an on-board tuner is a great convenience. This thing does the job!

Cool tuner...recommend it

Comments about Shadow Sonic Tuner For Acoustic Guitar Soundholes:

When I went searching for a new acoustic I wanted a guitar with a built-in tuner. Just my luck, the guitar I fell for was a Taylor which, of course, is one of the only brands that does not have any models with built-in tuners. I came across the Shadow Tuner and decided to give it a try since it was a non-invasive way to adding an on-board tuner to the guitar. The tuner itself works well and is accurate. Can use for alt tunings also. It is a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures and, once mounted, looks like it came stock with the guitar. It's a basic no frills tuner. Mounting the tuner was a little difficult. There was not a problem with the tuner fitting in the space around sound hole or conflicts with the guitars framing to mount it. Problem was getting it to adhere to the wood inside the guitar. The tuner comes with precut velcro. One side attaches to the tuner, the other to the guitar itself. The problem with this is that there is still residual wood dust from the manufacturing of the guitar. When I went to press the tuner to attach it to the inside of the guitar, it did not stick real well. Dust stuck to the back of the velcro, which made it even less sticky. I replaced the original velcro with some new velco and it still did not stick all that well. Finally, I ended up using a small amount of Fabri-tac craft glue and now it stays securely in place with no movement. The tuner is easy to turn on and off, but a little tricky to access. You just have to stick one finger inside the sound hole to access the on/off and press it. Tuner does turn off by itself after 20 minutes if you forget or don't feel like turning it off. The battery life of the tuner is supposed to be pretty good. I have not had to change the battery yet. Hopefully, I will not have to detach the tuner to replace the battery. If you look at the photo of the bottom of the tuner, you should be able to replace the battery without having to remove the tuner. The tuner preforms well and is easy to see. The multicolored tuner lights are visible in any lighting condition. No one can see the tuner accept you. Aside from a few possible improvements in the mounting system, it's a great tuner for any acoustic that does not have a built-in tuner. I will recommend to it to my friends.
