This Shadow SH EQ5 is an electric guitar humbucker with built in 5-band equalizer. 7 trim-pots on top of the pickup adjust the input level, master gain and 5-band E.Q. The active E.Q. circuit can be switched on or off and can be used to E.Q. other passive pickups in the guitar. The humbucker is fully shielded and has four-conductor output for all wiring possibilities.

  • Shadow EQ-5, extraordinary pickup!

    What can't this pickup do? It can be active, passive, true coil split, and in active mode it can be dialed in to emulate every worth while pickup made. The one I have shows you how to dial in several incredible pickups. I can sound like and EMG-81, EMG-81 w/boost, EMG SA, X2N, PAF neck or bridge, 3 single coil Strat in any position, Telecaster neck or bridge, and so much more. You can even dial in your own. If your battery dies, you can always fall back on the passive pickup which sounds incredible. This pickup also affects all other pickups in your guitar in active mode, made my stock pickups sound so much better! Also, it can be used as an EQ and not installed as a pickup! Incredible! Honestly, why buy any one pickup when you can have an unlimited amount? Side note, I could not get my guitar with EMGs to work with the EQ-5, seems to coincide with passives and not actives, could be wrong.
