Nice!

By JustinAiken

Comments about Seymour Duncan SH-2N Jazz Model Pickup:

I have one of these in the neck of Les Paul Classic. When played clean through a solid-state amp, with the tone rolled back, the jazz sound is amazing. People are always surprised at how good a non-hollowbody can sound. Then plug it into my tube Marshall, and crank up the gain, and it sounds great for metal leads - allows individual notes to sound out during fast runs. I believe Dave Mustaine has one of these in his neck too.

Seymour Duncan Jazz Pickup

By David Holst

Comments about Seymour Duncan SH-2N Jazz Model Pickup:

I have the Duncan Jazz pickup in the neck position and a Duncan Pearly Gates in the bridge position of a Hertiage CM 140, a Les Paul style guitar. I run the guitar through a Vox Valtronic amp. The sound is amazing. The Jazz pickup provides a nice, rich, warm sound. It puts out great sustain also without losing tone definition.

Clean channel bliss

Comments about Seymour Duncan SH-2N Jazz Model Pickup:

Bought this for the neck pickup on my son's Iceman. I installed a SD Invader in the bridge position a while back, if you like a nice balance for a high output bridge pickup, I would recommend the SH-2N. Great clean tones with a lot of warmth.

Seymour's favorite for a reason.......

By Geoffrey Chiodi

from Stratford, NJ

Comments about Seymour Duncan SH-2N Jazz Model Pickup:

WOW! This pickup is a work of art. There are some crazy expensive high-end boutiques out there that claim to be "The Holy Grail" but nothing can touch this pickup. The Duncan SH-2 "Jazz" Humbucker is born for the neck position on any guitar for any genre. The first night I plugged in after installing this beauty I couldn't switch it off. It is the most "full", "fat", "round" tone I've ever heard come from a guitar. Smooth and detailed under clean or overdriven scenarios alike. It has a woodwind quality to it and offers added harmonics and body to your tone. The low price for such high quality makes this a steal and a must have. Perfection in magnet form. Thank you Seymour Duncan!!

Comments about Seymour Duncan SH-2N Jazz Model Pickup:

Very bright tones, clean sounds, Jazzy sounding pickup. Exactly what I expected.

Perfect for my practicing since I can hear all the notes very clearly and know where I / if I made a mistake. For playing music it was awesome, works great w/ distortion as well, beautiful sounds.

I just didn't like that it has "Seymor Duncan" written on it: I don't like to advertise for brands and I dont need other to see I use this or that particular brand. Brands don't represent me.

Installed the SH-2N neck and SH-4 bridge on my SG last year. My other guitars have been collecting dust since. Seymour Duncan himself said this was his favorite pick up combo, and I quickly learned why. You literally can't find a sound you're NOT happy with....brilliant!

          Perfect for cleans

          By Daniel Delgado

          from TX

Comments about Seymour Duncan SH-2N Jazz Model Pickup:

I paired this SH-2 in the neck with an SH-5 for the bridge and it makes for a perfect combination. The SH-2 is amazing for cleans, sounds great, and has awesome sustain and tone. The lows, mids, and highs are all very balanced; the lows are not too rumbly and bassy, the mids are strong and clear, and the highs aren't too pitchy, twangy, or shrilly. Overall, this is a great pickup for clean tones, and I would highly recommend it!

          Creamy-er than butter

          By NICHOLAS MANZI

          from Rio Linda, California

Comments about Seymour Duncan SH-2N Jazz Model Pickup:

After I got this pickup, I already knew I was just going to love it. It is a mid output but that doesn't mean this thing can't scream. It works well for the upper and mid ranges but can hold its own in the lower range as well. Playing anything from funk, to Wah-ed out Hendrix/Hammit, to heavy metal is effortless for the SH-2. I recommend putting this baby in the neck for the pretty lead licks and clean rhythms. This is an excellent pickup and one of the best ones I have ever owned.

Comments about Seymour Duncan SH-2N Jazz Model Pickup:

I purchased this and put it in my Les Paul Studio. It really created a huge difference. That biting tone I always thought was some magical picking technique? This will give it to you no problem. Doesn't have to be for Jazz, it works for anything you want to play. I'm very happy I bought it.

          WOW!!!!!

          By Daniel

          from Roy, UT

Comments about Seymour Duncan SH-2N Jazz Model Pickup:

I swapped out the ESP stock neck pickup for one on my EX-250, and all I have to say is, "WOW!!!!!" It has the perfect tone that I was looking for. Since then, I have installed it in my Ibanez, and soon into my own custom guitar project. I have this paired with the SH4 in the bridge position, and I can easily see why this combo really makes it. If you want an extremely versatile high output pickup without having to deal with the active pickups and all the 9-volt batteries, I would HIGHLY suggest getting this baby.
