FUZZ IS BACK AND ALL I NEED

By Old Long Hair Axe Grinder

from Galvez, Louisiana

Comments about Seymour Duncan SFX-02 Tweak Fuzz Pedal:

I was just brosing the GC looking at this and that when guess what, TWEAK FUZZ just asking to be played. Since I didn't have my '73 Les Paul Recording I hooked up a LP Studio and lo and behold, sounds from the 60's was blaring out of the Peavey Valveking. After just 15 seconds I knew this thing was comming home with me. The sound was vintage fuzz and music to my ears. The six preset settings are all great. As you dial it up the fuzz keeps getting heavier and heavier. Mix that with a volume and gain control and you can dial up any fuzz you ever heard and then some. And you guys that are looking for a distortion box need to try this out, it just might be what you are looking for. On the first setting I could sound like the Rolling Stones, click it up a notch and look out here comes Deep Purple. A nother notch and Iron Butterfly is right there on stage. Then go ahead and max out all the settings and set your amp like you usually do and you can have some modern metal. This Tweak Fuzz is just like the Alka-Seltzer catch phrase: Try it, you'll like. I tried it and bought it!!!

sound i was looking for

By phillcgram

Comments about Seymour Duncan SFX-02 Tweak Fuzz Pedal:

I bought a marshall bluesbraker 2 in december, hoping to get some nice vintage sounds out of it. It let me down, I traded it for a crybaby, and then bought this. I watched the video on seymour duncans site, and knew I had to have this pedal. I've only just scratched the surface of what it can do, but its got the sound I've been looking for for the last few months. If your into classic rock at all, get this.

Worth a look!

By shontsy

Comments about Seymour Duncan SFX-02 Tweak Fuzz Pedal:

I checked one of these out in the store and was immediately impressed. Easy to use and sounds great! I didn't buy one yet, although I was reaching for the credit card. I decided to look a little longer first, but I haven't found anything yet that was better. Why spend $300 on some boutique box when you can get this and be happy? Defintely worth a look with ears wide open, and an open mind.

great for adding spunk to chords

By zack

Comments about Seymour Duncan SFX-02 Tweak Fuzz Pedal:

i have been looking for a good fuzz pedal to help me make more interesting chord progressions. all the other fuzzz pedals are to heavy and arn't clean enough. this pedal is great. it can also give you a nice thick fuzz tone for solos and heavy riffs. this is a great pedal and works greeat with the lava box distortion.

Whoa........fuzz?? Or Metal Militia....

By Kobalt

from The Bronx

Comments about Seymour Duncan SFX-02 Tweak Fuzz Pedal:

I was expecting a full fuzz. No way.... this pedal not only has the perfect fuzzies, but..when you want it...this thing produces sick metal tone at its best. Suprised, shocked, loved it. Bought it after playing w/ 5 other pedals for an hour or more. Get it. NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great classic rock tone!!

By Robert Wessel

from Milwaukee WI

Comments about Seymour Duncan SFX-02 Tweak Fuzz Pedal:

After checking one of these out, I had to eventually get one. With the gain turned up 1/4 to half way, play the riff from "Allright Now" by Free. It absolutely that nasty attitude tone! Turning the gain up higher and putting the 6 position selector in one of the more bassy positions will let you get the "Foxy Lady" tone. Not a lot of sustain/compression with this pedal. But that can be great for riffs where you want to back off and hear it clean up. And don't expect pinch harmonics to jump out. It's not that kind of tone. It's a late 60's/early 70's classic rock riffing tone, and that's great in its own way.

Seymour Duncan tweak fuzz

By californiakid

from laguna beach california

Comments about Seymour Duncan SFX-02 Tweak Fuzz Pedal:

Its ok. I like the thin no reverb sound but it dose not have much fuzz. I do not own one but I tried it at my local guitar store. I think the lava box and boss fuzz pedals are fuzzier but overall the tweak fuzz is not my first choice but is not a bad pedal.

Good outta the box

By Jai Wynne

from Yorktown, Va.

Comments about Seymour Duncan SFX-02 Tweak Fuzz Pedal:

I got a great price match from Guitar center on the "Tweak Fuzz" and it was fun right outta the box. I was getting cool fuzzy sounds with very little ajustment. After playing for a few minutes and testing different setting I realized there are a ton of tonal options I had trouble deciding what to play next. The six position "tweaker" is a huge plus as it colors the volume and gain and thins or thickens the tone. I use it with a Boss GE-7 graphic EQ to really dial in sounds I like. The metal housed Tweak Fuzz is about as sturdy as they come and shouldn't have trouble getting kicked around a little. I just bought this beast but I can already tell it's gonna be one of my favorites.
