Overview

The two thin blades, strong ceramic magnet and powerful coil windings of this Hot Rails Strat Pikcup Set give you the incredible sustain and a fat, full sound that's needed for playing heavier rock music. This pickup responds to the subtlest finger movements. Comes with four-conductor hookup cable. One of the hottest pickups that Seymour Duncan makes, the Hot Rails Set triples the aggression, transforming a mild-mannered Strat into a punishing metal beast. You may love your Strat, but wish it it would be more suitable for heavier styles. The Hot Rails Set is perfect for wanting a powerful humbucker sound out of a guitar. Like all Rails models, the Hot Rails are true humbuckers, so they remain quiet when you aren™t playing.

Comments about Seymour Duncan Hot Rails Strat Pickup Set:

I recently bought the best guitar I've ever played. I've played a LOT of guitars over the years. My favorite has always been a PRS Custom 24. I've never been a fan of Stratocasters or Gibsons...I'm a metal lead shredder but also like to play blues, funk and jazz. Well I fell in love with the Rosewood neck special edition Fender from GC and bought it a couple weeks ago. I played it quite a bit but noticed the fat 50's are ok, but for someone who needs some major gain and fuller frequency response, they were definitely lacking - even with my Line 6 120 amp and the bajillion effects it has, the single coils just don't do it. I saw/heard the Youtube promo video for the Hot Rails and I knew I had to get them. I've never installed pickups before in my life - and I'll be honest, I was scared I'd screw up my beauty but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy they were to install. All you need is a couple screw drivers (#1 and #2), solder, and a soldering iron. The instructions were excellent and in one evening (about 2 hours) I had these bad boys on my new Fender American Rosewood neck strat. They are INCREDIBLE pickups and put the fat 50's to shame. I can still get that great strat sound but can crank it up and blow away full hum-bucker guitars. They are SILENT on a high distortion channel and don't feedback unless you want them to. If you own a Strat and you just need a little more drive, get these, install them and you won't be disappointed. Take it from a 25+ year guitarist - best investment if you have a strat.
