Overview

The Seymour Duncan Hot Rails for Tele Set are high output single-coil-size "rails" humbucker. Great for classic rock, garage, punk, heavy rock, thrash, classic metal and nu-metal. They deliver a fat, full sound with incredible output. The powerful ceramic magnet, two steel blades and over-wound coils all combine to provide a heavy, raw, distorted tone with incredible sustain. Compared to the Little '59, Hot Rails have more output and a chunkier mid-range. Comes in black only with four-conductor cable.

Bridge pickup
The Seymour Duncan STHR-1 Tele Hot Rails Pickup is a lead position pickup that is a direct replacement humbucker. It delivers fat, full Seymour Duncan sound. The 2 thin blades with powerful coil windings combine to give you a raw, distorted rock 'n' roll tone with incredible sustain. The STHR-1 Tele Hot Rails humbucker has a 4-conductor cable.

Neck pickup
Designed for a Fender Telecaster's neck position, the STHR1-N's powerful ceramic magnet, two steel blades and overwound coils all combine to provide a heavy, raw, distorted tone with incredible sustain. Ceramic magnets produce a more aggressive tone with a punchier bass and enhanced upper mids. The Seymour Duncan pickup comes in black only with four-conductor cable. Works equally well with maple and rosewood fingerboards.

Comments about Seymour Duncan Hot Rails For Tele Pickup Set:

I've played a Tele with Hot Rails in the studio years ago and I knew that this was the only way to go with a Telecaster for the realm of music I play. Not only do the Rails add to the aesthetic appeal but they have changed my Tele into a whole different guitar making it a force to be reckoned with when it comes to Metal/Punk style distorted guitar. My tone is far deeper and the sound you get out of these Rails is way heavier than what you would with the stock pick ups Fender uses. Everything from pinching notes to harmonics to palm muting is far beyond what anyone would expect from a Telecaster. My guitar does not look the way it sounds. This guitar is now complete. Thank you.

Turn my Tele into a Dragon!!!

Comments about Seymour Duncan Hot Rails For Tele Pickup Set:

I have always been a fan of the classic look of the Telecaster, and a huge fan of Seymour D's pickups. I actually have a set of the Quarter Pounder SD's on another Tele and I simply loved them, but I was still looking for a heavier sound to put on the beauty of a Telecaster. Man, this thing is the real deal! These pickups turn my guitar into a dragon. The sound is huge, clear, and makes the poeple turn and look at my guitar. Everybody looks surprised when they realize all that power is coming out of Telecaster. Now I have my dream guitar, looking the way I always wanted and sounding better than I could ever imagined it could be. By the way, I have 10 guitars and now this is my favorite of all. Hats off to the Seymour Duncan team, you guys Rock!!!

Ideal for getting those heavier tones

    By Brendon Chui

Comments about Seymour Duncan Hot Rails For Tele Pickup Set:

I bought these pups for my tele to beef up my sound so I could achieve a nice heavy distortion through my orange amps. I personally play punk/hardcore music and these pups did the trick. Many players out there will say that telecasters aren't really for heavier music, which I can understand why they would say due to their bluesy/twang sound, but for me telecasters was my guitar of choice because I loved the feel and look beyond other guitars. I've played many different guitars (more suitable for my genre) but nothing could really sell me like the simple look and smooth feel of a telecaster. So popping in these nice hot rails put a smile on my face as I was able to achieve what I was looking for as a played heavy powerful riffs. If you're in the same avenue as I was looking to play some heavier genres of music on your telecaster, look no further because these pups are the ones for you.
