Overview

Imagine taking the Vintage models and turning up the output. You get a fat and full punch in both the low frequencies and mid-range, yet it retains the muscular twang of the Vintage. The sensitive coil combined with custom length flat pole pieces provides more sustain. The rhythm pickup has a similarly designed high-output coil for full, clear sound and comes with a chrome-plated brass cover. Combined with the increased output, you have a Tele that is perfect for modern country, Southern rock, electric blues, and classic rock. Like all of the new Symour Duncan Sets, these drop right in with no modifications.

Not for me

Comments about Seymour Duncan Hot Pickup for Tele Set:

I put these in an FSR ash body telecaster (mim). The electronics have been upgraded. I found the neck pickup sounds like it has a blanket over it. Very mid heavy, and bassy. The more you turn up the gain, the less defined the pickup is. Really starts getting farty. On the other hand the bridge pickup is alright. Its really hot and does well with gain. But to me lacks tone. Its fairly dry sounding. This marks the first time I have been disappointed with Seymour Duncan pickups. I have owned multiple sets on multiple guitars.

Comments about Seymour Duncan Hot Pickup for Tele Set:

These "hot pickups" from Seymour Duncan are amazing! I have a Squier Telecaster Special and replaced the stock pickups with the "hot pickups." What a difference it made. It is literally like getting a new guitar. My Squier is now transformed. Simple strumming is now electrified and robust. Pedals sound ever better running through Squier Telecaster. The "hot pickups" IMHO sound better than those in some Fender Telecasters that I have tried! And a Squier Tele is less expensive (even with the pickups!) than most Fender Teles. If you have the opportunity, I would say go for it and enjoy the ride!
