Overview

This is the Trembucker (F-spaced) version of the JB Model humbucker. Designed in the early '70s, the JB Model humbucker adds juice to the bridge position of any humbucker-equipped instrument. With its hot coils, and Alnico 5 bar magnet, this pickup delivers an unmistakable upper midrange attack, a tight, articulate low end, and harmonically rich highs that can really sing. The JB is the perfect bridge pickup for anything from blues and country to the meanest hard rock and metal. Pair with the Jazz neck model for the ultimate Hot Rodded hum bucker set. Trembuckers have wider pole piece spacing, perfect for symmetrical positioning under the strings of guitars with a tremolo or wide spaced hard tail bridge (two or wider from the center of the Low E to High E directly over the bridge pickup). Hand-built in their Santa Barbara, CA factory, the JB Trembucker uses an Alnico 5 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.

Comments about Seymour Duncan 1110313B TB4 JB Trembucker Black Pickup:

My FSR HSS MIM Strat (used) had a defective Humbucker in the bridge. I replaced it with a new TB4 JB. The fit was perfect. With a little time to fine tune the pickup heights and settings at the neck, middle and bridge positions, the JB was awesome! Not overpowered at all. I used the stock 250k pots. The JB was a nice upgrade and covers all kinds of musical styles that call for a Hummer. I've been playing over 40 years, and have played before live audiences, recorded both on DVD and CD. I owned and played an American Standard 50th Anniversary Strat SSS for 15 years. I have to say, this Fender MIM FSR HSS Strat is a surprising guitar. It leaves nothing to be desired vs my American Standard SSS. It sounds like a Strat should sound! The single coils seem to be a little hotter than standard, but they work excellent with the JB Trembucker. The split single coil of the JB sounds quacky like it should, paired with the single coil middle pickup. I did the EJ, wiring thing... Moved the tone control from the middle pickup to the HB bridge. I love it! If you play blues, classic rock, heavy rock, this is your ticket to ride! I don't know about thrash or death metal... not my thing. But for all I do, the JB is spot on.
