I recently installed this pickup in my American Deluxe Telecaster. This pickup is full sounding and still has the Tele twang. It sounds very good played through a clean amp setting on my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. It sounds fantastic when played through a distortion pedal! It chrunches nicely, yet retains good tone and clarity. It works well with the guitars tone and volume controls. It came with very thorough instalation instructions. Seymour Duncan builds very nice products. I have always been very pleased with everything I have bought from them.
Man I originally bought one of these in a 'Hot Rails' box- mispackaged, apparently...when it came time to replace it I couldn't understand why the tone had changed so drastically- the new Hot Rails didn't have the sound I wanted. I figured it out, made the switch, and MAN- talk about tone!!! Nice and bright, with that midrange 'oomph' I wanted, and super crunchy!! Through my JCM2000 my Tele sounds like 'the Hammer of the Gods'!!! Thanks, again, Seymour...
