Transform your electric guitar into a fire-breathing man-eater!

The original custom Pearly Gates pickups were wound for the famous '59 Les Paul Standard that defined the raw, rebellious sound of Texas blues rock. Essentially a variation on the Patent Applied For sound, Seymour Duncan's Pearly Gates sound sweet, but is slightly rude, with great sustain and a bright top that make harmonics jump out of the guitar.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

Seymour Duncan SH-PG1 Pearly Gates Pickup Features:

Ever wanted to sound clear with a good heavy metal distortion? Or change from a punk tone to a smooth jazz without changing guitars? Well people, say good bye to all those problems. The Pearly Gates is very harmonic and very clear and can be used for anything. I put one on my Strat not sure of what i had bought. But once i got home and played with it I just fell in love. For years I've been looking for the ideal tone and this pickup, my friend, has it. I have proved DiMarzio, EMG, Kent Armstrong and others in a hudge variety of models, and this pickup beats them all.

Great tone

Couldn't be happier with the pearly gates pickups I just put in my Epiphone Les Paul Custom. The stock pickups were just dead so I put these in and its like I got a new guitar. Great clean sound on either pickup and really smooth distorted tone running through Boss MT-2 Metal Zone pedal. A lot hotter than I thought they would be and really hits tht Billy F. Gibbons sound. I would recommend to anybody.

Awesome Pup!

I've used a Pearly Gates in the neck position of every humbucker-housed guitar I've owned in the past two years. It's the perfect warm, buttery, Texas-toast sound to compliment the ballsy, edgier sound of a raw bridge humbucker! It's smooth distortion is the flipside to it's lovely clean sound. The PG rings true to it's name, as it's heavenly in all things TONE!

The pearly gates is king

Seymour Duncan's Perly Gates model is superb. It stays in the range of the Patent Applied For tone of the original humbucker, while adding a little extra. It has a bit more edge and midrange, as well as four conductor cables for doing coil-splitting. Seymour Duncan pickups are top of the line and so is their customer service.

The perfect PAF for those who want some extra edge

I ordered a pair of Pearly Gates to replace the stock ones in my Epiphone Les Paul and it's easily one of the best decisions I've ever made. Not only did the tone get a lot more full and defined, it had that little extra edge I desired while retaining the guitar's natural tone. A big reason I went for these is because I wanted 4-conductor humbuckers to do the Jimmy Page wiring. Even in single-coil mode, in series, or out of phase, the sounds from the pickups are, well, heavenly. They can handle clean tones to bluesy overdrive to face-melting metal without breaking a sweat. If you like the look of covered 'buckers (like I do), I recommend getting Gibson's neck-spaced covers for both pickups. Even for the bridge pickup, Gibson's bridge-spaced cover is too wide for the pole pieces to fit through.
