Wired in my new jb trembucker as a replacement to the original jb humbucker I ordered. Definitely, a better fit with proper alignment to the strings of my MIM stratocaster. I don't have a great amp to take advantage of the sound, but, I can perceive a distinctly different tone using my BOSS GT-8 for effects, especially on the blues settings. The only downside was the poor packaging; it came in a plastic bag much like my 90 day prescription medication. Thankfully, there was no damage to the pickup.
Actually 41/2 stars. The sounds is pretty good.Its definetly more made for 500k im thinking but i have it in my fat strat with texas specials 250k. The most amazing thing about this pickup is that if you get push pull and blend full on humbucking mode with the mid single coil you get an almost acoustic guitar quality. String equalization is great. Sounds pretty good clean as well as distorted. Its super hot so solos are pretty neat. It has a single coil type sound but allot fuller and less chimey. Its like a single coil on steriods but the steriod. This is also a nice pickup for lots of reverb and yyou can get some sweet tones.
