  • Awesome Pick-ups

As reviewed by Joe Izzo on 2/25/2009

I put them in my Epiphone Les Paul Custom and they rule. The noise cancelling feature is really nice, and the tone is unbeatable. Even though they are indeed made for metal, they put out a crisp clean sound.

  • They saved me from buying a new amp!!!

As reviewed by Kevin on 4/10/2008

I have a Crate 120watt combo, and was getting pissed off at how muddy it sounded at "live" volumes, by some stroke of god, my pick-ups shorted out on my Epiphone "Demon", So the first thing on my list was to replace those pick-ups (obviously). I hooked these bad boys up, and plugged it in. My overall volume went up at LEAST 30%, and the clairity seems to go forever. I could turn my amp up to 11 and they'll still sound clean. I used to put my amp volume at 8 in order to be heard at band practice, now it simply goes to 5 or 6 and I feel like I might be overpowering my bandmates. They are PERFECT for someone looking to play crunchy riffs, while still blazing through sweeps without having to switch to the neck pick-up.

  • Great set of pickups from seymour duncan

As reviewed by Testament=BestMetalBandEver on 8/3/2010

This is an absolute great set of pickups to replace muddier low end pickups. i have a set of these in my Epiphone Les Paul Standard Ebony. the sound i can get now is great. the most notable differences are as follows 1. Noticeable increase in overall volume. 2. Clarity of the notes makes your single note lines pop and your chords dont fall apart into mush. 3. these pickups are HOT pickups. Harmonics ring out alot louder and are easier to bring out. my original concern was that since they were a set i thought there would not be a big difference in tone between the bridge and neck positions. WRONG. now my neck position sounds great and the way it should, a warm creamy type of tone. bridge position feeds back on demand and has alot of crunch and bite to it. these pickups can also get a good clean tone, just be sure to use your volume and tone controls on the guitar since these pickups are very responsive and expressive. Highly satisfied with my purchase and i will be looking to put seymour duncans in my next guitar, those blackouts seem promising... Props to the people at Seymour duncan for another great product.
