Seymour Duncan New Pickups
Seymour Duncan Shows You How to Replace Pickups on a Gibson Les Paul

Lose the bad hum, crank up the tone!

Seymour Duncan Blackouts are 9-volt active humbuckers that provide more extended frequency response with less compression. Seymour Duncan engineers have captured the tone players want in an active guitar pickup design with the benefits of balanced inputs.

Not only do Seymour Duncan Blackouts active humbuckers have less hum than most active humbuckers, they also have more lows, more highs, and more output. Simply put, the Blackouts have more tone than most active pickups. Players will find far fewer problems with hum, especially near computer monitors and fluorescent lighting.

Blackouts are available in individual neck and bridge models, or as a two-pickup set. All versions come with all necessary mounting hardware, including pots, jack, and a battery clip.

bringing metal to the masses

i've been a diehard active pickup fan for 5 years now, and EMG had been the only manufacturer that sounded the way i wanted to play, after trying my friends ESP DV8 with blackouts that became the point of no return, switched 1 axe to AHB1 blackouts and now i cant wait to get my hands on an AHB2 for a bridge pick up on another one, simply more of everything that EMG 81's have (or lack there of) and way less noise

Crushing

I have a set of these in my Paul Allender PRS and all I can say is its tonal mayhem. Precision attack, great sustain ,crushing tone oh yeah did I mention they're quiet too. Seymour Duncan in fact listen to what players wanted and truly delivered IMHO. Whether your looking for that "metal" tone or just looking for a "hot" pickup without all the noise associated with them. These are the pickups for you. (also if your looking for that good old screaming SD"Livewire" sound, bridge the pins on the back...effing brutal)
