I currently own 22 sound systems and over 20
Wireless microphones. Most of my mics are Shure (PGX, SLX) some Audio Technica (2000 Series, & 3000 Series). This is the only Sennheiser I've purchased (based on an experienced professional's recommendation) I LOVE IT! Clearest, most versatile wireless I've ever used. Crisp, clean vocals. Huge range, I used it at an outdoor event with over 1000 attendees and was 400 feet from the antenna base. Worked flawlessly with 1/4 second - 1/2 second delay of course (normal at this range). I have been a professional musician and DJ/Entertainer/Karaoke host/Talent Show MC since 1989 and have never used a better wireless. I can't overstate the quality and reliability of this METAL mic (no plastic to crack or break).
Take my advice: Buy the BEST and only cry ONCE!

I am a VERY busy working DJ doing everything from bars/clubs to Weddings, Bar mitzvahs and talent shows! I've have been having alot of issue with my sennheiser system. Contrary to the other reviews I have had drops outs often and also when the squelch level was set to high, i experienced a super LOUD crackling sound that would wake up someone from 2 miles away! I am currently working with sennheiser to work my issues out. Its not as easy as a shure system to set up.. Its a litte bit more tedious to get shows ready. The handheld microphone is a bit on the heavy side too and battery life is very much to be desired. 2 AA batteries last maybe for 2 events.. so 5-7 hours of use tops! I have phathomed the thought of just using rechargable batteries.. I think that all of the brands (not dollar store batteries) work just as well in the unit. I hope this review has atleast made you aware that not all systems are up and working properly. Thanks for your time! Keith

Comments about Sennheiser ew 135 G3 Cardioid Microphone Wireless System:

I love the e835 and e935 mics and I liked the wireless versions of these mics as well. Unfortunately the antenna is very poorly constructed and I have had 4 out of 4 of them break. It is always the same problem. The solder joint attaching the antenna to its board. The mic will seem to work, but it drops the signal intermittently. It is a shame that Sennheiser would make something so great and then have the entire thing fail because of one poorly designed solder joint. I have never had any problem like that with my Shure wireless mics. I like the Sennheisers better, but having 4 out of 4 break in short order is a show-stopper.

Comments about Sennheiser ew 135 G3 Cardioid Microphone Wireless System:

Purchased four of these for an acapella quartet. They were delivered in time for a gig and worked great. Very real sound and easy to set up. Had to back off on the sensitivity and gain, but that left plenty of room for adjustment. Jobe was great at Guitar Center, Medford, OR

Comments about Sennheiser ew 135 G3 Cardioid Microphone Wireless System:

I had bought a couple of name brand but cheaper wireless mics and had issues with them in certain situations-- pops, audio signal cutting in and out, etc. Out of the box this one sounded great, even when not being held close, and performed flawlessly. I could have saved money in the long-run had I bought this mic first.

Comments about Sennheiser ew 135 G3 Cardioid Microphone Wireless System:

I have used Sennheiser and Audio Technica mics for 15 years with our Praise Band. I have run into problems with the on/off switches on Sennheiser's and have sent them back to factory for repair. I was pleased to learn they had modified the design, I hope these new ones will stand-up to the wear and tear. Overall they sound great and our vocalist like using them. If you want to sound good you need to purchase professional grade. These are just like the ones the use on the Voice.

We use a dozen of these and they are dead nuts reliable, no issues, and they sound great. The pilot signal and auto-squelch make it a no brainer to find unoccupied frequencies and eliminate interference.
Hand held unit is robust and sturdy. Great sounding for vocals. Transmits strongly across a large auditorium without need to enhance the signal strength or amplify antenna.

This is used mainly for events and worship services. We Currently have 2 of these units from 2005 and they are still rock solid and reliable after 7 years. Added another unit recently and I am very impressed. It is now simpler to sync the transmitter/receiver and the receiver monitors the battery of the transmitter. The sound quality for vocals and the spoken word are crystal clear.

          Quality Microphone

          By Scott Hogsett

          from Missouri

Comments about Sennheiser ew 135 G3 Cardioid Microphone Wireless System:

The range and sound quality exceeded my expectations. I was going back and forth about getting this or the condenser microphone version. I will mainly be using this for my DJ business and decided the dynamic mic was a better fit. Is sounds great and looks high class.
The frequency selection and infared link make it easy to sync the mic to the receiver. The dB adjustments on both the mic and receiver make it easy to set up with your current system. The handheld microphone has a mute feature but it would be nice if it were a bit easier to get to. You have to press the power button then change a setting on the menu screen to get it mic muted. A single button would have been a bit more useful.
The handheld microphone has some weight to it compared to the Shure and EV wireless microphones I have owned. The sound of vocals from spoken word or song sounds accurate and crystal clear. The other ones I have used were a Shure SM58 and and older EV RE series and they could get a bit muddy in the spoken word depending on who was using them.
It would have been nice to get at least a soft carry pouch to protect the handheld mic when not in use. Some other microphones of this price range also come with a carry case. I realize you can purchase this separately, but something would have been nice.
