Want a pair of headphones that sound as good as they are styled? Look no further than the HD 428. The closed-back design blocks ambient noise for use on-the-go, or at your home studio as you construct your latest hit. Ive owned these for about a month now, couldn't be happier! Very comfortable to wear for long periods. They block outside noise well enough to tick off my wife when she is trying to get my attention! Listening to music played on my computer sounds amazing, good tight bass without distortion at high levels is worth it to me. The cord is nice and long so you dont feel like your on a short leash.I also use these on my guitar practice amp. No problems
I was on a budget and bought these headphones about 6 months ago for use w/ recording on a computer... BAD IDEA. The cord isn't long enough and the headphones don't support enough sound when blending multiple tracks together and they start crackling pretty bad. I don't know where the tangle free cord thing comes from (the cord is actually tangled as i'm writing this review). Other than that, these are pretty good headphones for just listening to music. The sound is good and can actually be used as mini speakers with an ipod, they actually can be very loud, but then again the insulation isn't that great which causes sound to bleed through both ways when you have them on so if you were going with these simply for the noise cancelling properties then i would look somewhere else. Oh yeah, and they also do have a tendency to slide around/fall off of your head when dancing around.
Great headphones at the price point, if you're in the market for new. These just might be it. These full-size headphones fit nicely around your ear for a great seal and sound isolation (roughly 30dB of isolation, like my KRK Systems KNS-6400's as well as Dr. Dre Beats). They fit nicely on the head, with a snug yet 'loose-feeling' fit. These headphones are definitely among the most comfortable ones I have, my favorite being the KRK cans I purchased recently. These headphones are great for music, and lightweight monitoring/reference use. These are NOT designed for mixing/mastering/critical applications, get the HD 25's or other professional headphones for that. These have great sound quality, very lively and warm. Punchy, rich bass that doesn't over-power, prominent soothing mids, and crisp & clear highs that aren't too harsh. Everything seems to be quite balanced with these set of cans. These are much like their 'better' models, the HD438 and HD448. These headphones are definitely a sight for sore eyes, everyone wearing Monster Beats and all. These have comparable (BETTER) sound, with much in the same sound isolation at a lesser price. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for great sound at a decent price.
