The Sennheiser HD 205-II headphones provide studio-grade detail and frequency response coupled with brilliant shielding of ambient noise. The rotatable earcup, as well as the single-sided cable, make them a professional companion for DJ's and home recording. Unlike competitive headphones, the earcup rotates while maintaining earpad contact on your head for stability and comfort without leaking noise into adjacent microphones. The Sennheiser HD 205-II headphones comes with a convenient protective pouch and locking 1/4" adapter for storage and transportation.

My son is a DJ and I was looking for a Xmas gift. While streaming "Peter Gabriel...Live On Letterman", I noticed his orchestra (50+ piece) were wearing the same headsets, and they turned out to be the Sennheiser HD 205 II. If it was good enough for Peter Gabriel, I need to buy them. My son was thrilled, he said the sound reproduction was excellent, and the cost was only $50. DJ's are rough on headphones, and he's spent over $200 on pairs that have to be replaced constantly. For this price and performance, they cannot be beat.
I really can't comment on sound production bc I couldn't keep these on for more than 20 minutes. The ear cups are tiny and the band keeps them super tight on your noggin. This is the only pair I have tried so far, but I took them back after a day. Probably just order something online from now on. Thanks
The musical quality of these headphones are amazing for the price. The highs aren't nasally, the mids are precise and crisp, and the lows are tight. Some will complain about the lack of a booming bass, but I don't think thats what Sennheiser was trying to go for with these headphones. These headphones are incredibly flat, meaning that they do not have the incredible cuts and boosts in the audio signal like a certain pair of Sony's in the same price range that shall remain nameless. ;) I beat my equipment up, so if you're like me and looking for durable head phones to last your year in and year out I would spend my money else where. If you are good to your gear un-like I am, these could not be a better set for you. I love the look of these headphones, silver and black never fails to catch my eyes. The ear sets on this unit are a tad bit snug but after a few listens they'll come around. There is a padding bar on the head band which is nice but in the summer try not to wear them around your neck, unless you like having sweat in your hair. ;)
They are not bad for the price at all. They are a bit small around the ears if you have big ears like myself, but the extra padding makes them bearable. If you have the extra money I would recommend getting something like the 280s, but they are great for their price.
The sound on the headphones are quite good. However if you plan on using them for more then 2 hours, your ears will start to hurt. The ear pieces are small so they put pressure on your ears. Upsides Long cord & cheap. I highly recommend skipping on buying this, unless you will only use them for about a hour or so. If an extra $50 isn't much just go for Sennheiser HD 280.
