You will be surprised !

Wanting to be wireless on Bass for some time now and finally after numerous reviews, investigations and try-outs, I came to this unit. So far I used this only 3 times and it has not failed me in any way at all. In fact, it gave me something I was a bit surprised with. It has a soft natural compression ( RF needs it ) that works well. The tonal quality happens to be a tad better than wired because all the sounds my bass can make are right up there with anything I want to do. Less work if you ask me dealing with how hard to hit. More control is probably what I mean to say. The components are made from metal. No junk plastic at all. Solid all around. I have to admit that anything I purchase from Sennheiser ( Mics, and this unit ) all served me well. I have a continued faith for any product this company maufatures. Also want to Thank Elliot at the Guitar Center in Cherry Hill for helping me take that last step in purchasing this unit. He always steers me in the right direction. Thanks Elmo.

This is the one Iam telling ya

I always wanted to try wireless but felt it was extravagent. Well I tried a Shure PGX14 and found it to be very popular and the price was within reach. I didn't want a cheap unit with poor sound quality and Shure seemed to be at the top. The PGX14 was a total disappointment in every way. The tone quality was atrocious. The sustain was about half of what I would get with a cable. The PGX14 was a cheap plastic disposable product , so I returned it to the store. A knowledgeable salesman suggested the Sennheiser EW 172 G2 unit and he told me that his friend bought this one and then bought 4 more for his band. His friend was very critical of the sound quality. I said that I would try it. Well, the construction of this unit is better than anything that Shure makes. It is built like millitary hardware. There are metal cases on the transmitter and the receiver. The ease of use was simple and very user friendly setup. Last but not least, the sound quality is truly amazing, great sustain, no change in all ranges of tone, for accoustic and electric guitars. These units are designed in Germany and built in the USA. You can't beat German engineering. I got this unit for the same price as the PGX 14. There is no comparison to the Shure PGX14. Don't let yourself be blinded by brand names and try it. You will love this unit.Very good product and highly recommended. I am telling ya.

A must have for the giggin guitarist

I had a problem with tripping on cables on stage, and i was fed up....so my buddy introduced me to this wireless system...and i'm glad he did...i connected it and noticed all the great features like noise gate, decibles for active pickups and more. I took it outside, and walked all the way to the end of my neighbor's property and i was still playing fine....my amp was in the BASEMENT!!! Even through concrete and stone i could still crank it up, come next week, i shall have my own...

Look no further!

I bought this system 2 weeks ago. I just took it out of the box and hooked it up with no complications. I was amazed just how quiet it was. I used it this past Sunday at church for the first time and it was amazing! I recommend this system to anyone! I have owned the Sennheiser wireless headset microphone for 5 years so I knew this system would be just as incredable! Buy with confidence!

This is what your looking for

This is the third wireless set that I've purchased in as many years; the Sennheiser EW172G2 puts similar priced Shure models in the toy category. I play a Les Paul (with lots of different FX) and a Martin JCE16 through the EW172G2 and it has yet to disappoint me; true sound, never a cut-out, and unbeleivable range. This is what your looking for.
