After hearing the original e602 model and noticing a flaw in the design, (see "physics of microphone technology" circa 2007), I decided not to buy the microphone at that time. Now, the updated version comes out and "woohoo," what a great sounding microphone. My normal uses for this model are for Kick Drum, Large Brazillian or Oriental Drums and for Bass Guitar Amps and Upright Basses. I decided to try the mic out on several other applications, like a nylon acoustic guitar and as the "floor" mic in a setup of room ambience mics. In every application this mic works great. The rejection of unwanted material is great and the tone of the mic is warm and pure giving good reference of the audio source.
