The MKS 4 shockmount is specifically built to hold a large-diaphragm MK 4 microphone from Sennheiser. It has an elastic suspension with an open ring which allows the mic to be positioned close to the sound source.

While it's marketed as an accessory for the MK4, this mount is also a perfect fit for the Senny's more expensive cousins, the Neumann TLM 102 and TLM 103. In fact, except for the Sennheiser logo, it's a dead ringer for the custom mount sold with the Neumann TLM 102 Special Edition, a combo package that's not currently available in the US.
