  • Incredible headphones

As reviewed by Francis on 8/4/2008

I bought these headphones back in December and they are fantastic. Crisp highs, deep lows, and these things do not distort as far as I can tell. I can say with experience that they are great for airplane use as they cancel out sound much better than other over the ear headphones like the overrated V700's. These are apparently a DJ standard in Europe and they are also great for studio monitoring. I'm surprised there haven't been more glowing reviews on it. Recommended without hesitation.

  • The Best DJ Headphones

As reviewed by Dara on 11/5/2008

As a professional DJ for 15 years I have used a lot of headphones. I discovered HD-25s about 10 years ago and haven't looked back. I also use them for my ipod as they are not too big & bulky for street use. Highly recommended.

  • Excellent Headphones for Home and Portable Use

As reviewed by Jon Jerico Calanio on 6/11/2010

I'll make this short and sweet. First of all, I have previously owned headphones like the Sennheiser HD555 and AKG K518 DJ, and my experiences with them had been phenomenal. But I decided to replace them with a single, high-end can for both home and portable applications. The answer was the HD25-1 II. This is an incredible headphone, boasting terrific sound quality at this size and pricepoint. While still exhibiting the smooth, laid-back Sennheiser house sound, it adds a little touch of Grado's upfront and edgy characteristics that make this a very versatile headphone to listen to. It can be soothing while still fun and engaging, perfect for most genres of music spanning jazz to rock and orchestral music. The Sennheiser HD25 also takes pride in its small-ish profile and rugged construction all throughout. It's abuse-proof and parts are user-replaceable too. It could withstand constant use, rain or shine. Overall, this is an excellent headphone. A must-buy for anyone who wants to get quality sound while still being small, rugged and relatively inexpensive. Five stars for this can.
