Hear the difference

The Sennheiser HD 212 headphones are a cut above the rest. While not as good as some of the really expensive headphones out there, these headphones deliver a beautifully pristine sound to your ears. Unlike many of the Behringer headphones I've tried, such as the HPM 1000 or the HPS 3000, you don't get the clarity and frequency response from the HD 212. Due to the high quality your are getting, the 212 headphones seem like they should cost even more than what you are paying. I use them all the time in my studio because I can't make any noise in my apartment. But I also use them when listening to my ipod, or pretty much anything that I to hear with good, clean sound. Once you get a pair of these, you won't ever want to go back to your old headphones. Also, I do a lot of mixing and depend on good monitoring to accurately make adjustments. The HD 212's have been helping me mix for 4 years. While I'm curious to see what the most expensive headphones on the market sound like, I can't deny the fact that I am very content with the Sennheiser HD 212 headphones. I even own two and am planning on buying a third. But don't take my word for it, listen for yourself and you will hear the difference!

Useful in Recording

I use these headphones primarily for tracking and I am happy with how they perform. I like the sound (several frequencies are hyped). They make the mix sound more exciting and that usually translates in to better performances. I do have to be careful about how they seal though. I have had bleed through when tracking vocals. I will say that would not use these for mixing (but of course the manufacture would not claim that they should be used for this application either). All and all they are pretty solid.
