• Birthday Gift That Has Been Giving Ever Since

  I bought this wireless system for my birthday since my wife knew it was what I really wanted. I had done a ton of research into as many products as I could find, but without actually playing through them, the best I could do was go by other customer testimonials and what the sales engineers could tell me (and I use "engineers" as plural because I questioned more than one relentlessly). When I finally decided on what I was going to buy I asked about return policies and such just in case it wasn't what I was looking for. Luckily, I haven't been disappointed as this wireless system has truly proved itself. The very first thing I noticed was that my bass sounded more alive than when I was playing through a cable. The sound was incredibly crisp and didn't miss a beat as I walked through the house. I took it out to my church for practice one night and did some playing and walking around the sanctuary just too see how far it would go, and it just kept thumping away without missing a beat. I could even see it switching back and forth between the A and B channels without the slightest hint of signal strength loss or interference. The farthest I went was about 30-40 feet away. The separate gain controls on both the transmitter and receiver are wonderful. I have the transmitter set to half, and the receiver is about the same (I can't say for sure exactly because I had someone else adjust the receiver gain while I was walking around). I still have plenty of room on my guitar controls as well to go louder or softer as the situation arises. The squelch control also helps combat any interference which I have been fortunate not to come across to date. This unit also has two outputs (XLR and 1/4") and this has me very excited since my amp is quite old (30+ years) and does not have an XLR out. I'm very excited to get this plugged into a mixer during a gig to see if it's really necessary to bring or use my amp on stage. Overall, I have been thrilled with this system as it has done everything I expected and then some. However, there are a couple of very slight cons. First, you will need to buy a separate instrument cable to plug the receiver into the amplifier. Second, the transmitter takes 9v batteries instead of AA (which I was hoping for). Finally, there is no carrying case or bag for the unit. I remedied the first issue buy purchasing a one-and-a-half foot guitar cable since the unit sits on top of my amp for now. The second issue I solved buy purchasing rechargeable 9v batteries and a charger (charger can be plugged into a standard wall outlet or into the cigarette lighter of a vehicle). For the third issue I was lucky enough the I have room in my guitar case for the unit (transmitter, receiver, cables, batteries, and charger). This is a great unit capable of withstanding everything I have had to do so far with no interruption. It has been such a joy to use these last four months, I hope to get many more years out of this unit. Only time will tell, I guess, but for now I would recommend this unit to any guitar or bass player looking to make a switch to wireless performing.

  I bought this system because i wanted to get the Sennheiser Ew172 but apparently they don't make them so i bought this wireless system because the guy at the guitar center that this wireless is really good for a budget. i wasn't really sure about it but i didn't hurt to try and i have to say this is a really great product you can control how much gain you want go really far with this i had this set up in my room and i was still playing from across the street with no drop outs also you dont loose your gain or sound with this product you get the same sound as if you were plugged in with a regular guitar cord this is an amazing product!!!! You wont regret buying this product.

• Just what I was looking for.

  Started doing lots of gigging and decided I needed some more room on stage! Did my research online and talked to some guys and THIS is what I needed. Its amazing! I wander around our practice shed around corners, through doors, and even outside and it just keeps on thumping! So very satisfied. One thing that kind of threw me for a loop was just how lite the system is overall. It feels cheeply made but Ive had it now for over a month 4 or 5 shows plus practice 3x a week and not a scratch on it so... judge for yourself. I see this thing holding up but if not I got a great warranty purchased through Guitar Center! I wouldve liked to have it come with some kind of carrying case but alas it did not so I supplyed my own back pack to tote it around along with other accessories. Im playing with a Fender Rumble 100w 1x10 combo amp and a Music Man SB14 bass guitar.
