Seagull has done it again - the S6 Entourage boasts a super comfortable slim neck and a solid cedar top. Speaking of beauty, you'll love the finish: a deep, rustic burst - honey toward the center, almost chocolate at the edges, with the rich red cedar shining through it all. And as with all Seagulls, the finish is thin enough to allow your tonewood to naturally age, getting better and better over time.

I've been playing this wonderful instrument every day for 1-6 hrs a day and I'm amazed each time I pick it up that I didn't spend hundreds more. If you are looking for flash and frills, this isn't for you. However, if you have been searching for a sweet and crisp yet full and warm sound for less than a thousand bucks, buy it now. Taylor? Martin? You almost get what you pay for. With this beauty you get much, much more for your money. Pride in Craftsmanship is a hallmark of Seagull and this more affordable model is no exception. Besides, it just looks cool. The top is pressure tested solid cedar with wild cherry back and sides and a remarkably smooth silver leaf maple neck. No plastic with fancy names here! Only beautifully simple design with all the focus on sound. Stays in tune no matter how crazy I get and will be in my hands for many years to come. Thank You Seagull!

This guitar has a beautiful finish. I love the neck... well at least the way it feels. It was crooked. I took it to get adjusted. It had to be shimmed as well. It definitely did not fix the busing on the first 5 frets. Not really sure why. I am extremely disappointed and will be turning this one back into the store.

This guitar is amazing. It has a nice warm sound and can get quite loud. This guitar is huge though. I do not recommend this to a small person. The guitar has a nice look, better than the pictures. It is unfinished and looks very pleasing. The tuners are AMAZING, I live in the worst climate for guitars, it is humid and wet one day and cold and dry the next, but these tuners keep it in tune. Playability... Action could be lowered a smidgen and the strings are pretty hefty. I believe the strings are 12's or 13'2. The guitar lacks some power on the high notes, but the low notes come out clean and crisp. All in all, a good guitar for the price. If you are a beginner who is serious this would be a nice guitar for you, if you are an intermediate then this is a good guitar. All in all, its a great guitar.
I don't normally take the time to right reviews, however, I"m that impressed with my seagull. I purchased this guitar for my birthday last winter. It is my first guitar, I haven't put it down since I first picked it up. I wanted a nice guitar without spending a fortune because I'm a new player, in my mid 30's, I wasn't sure if I would stick to it. It's been almost a year and I'm addicted. I would happily spend top dollar for this guitar. I take it with me everywhere I go and all of my musician friends can't help wanting to pick it up to play. Like me, no one has found one thing they don't like about it. It's comfortable and fun to play and the sounds that comes out of it is incredible. I don't see me ever parting with this beauty that has become a part of me. I own 4 other guitars now and this is still the one I play the most.
First the pleasantries: the guitar is beautiful. Has a rich, deep sound, probably because of the spruce and size. The strum sound holds it ring for a long time. The quality seems really good so far, and playing it is fun. Now why it is perfect for me: I have wide tipped fingers, that are short and stubby. The strings are further apart than most guitars I tried, and I am more able to just cover one string at a time (granted, it makes the F chord more difficult). In fact, my son, who has longer, more slender fingers, doesn't like the guitar. Also, I have abused my hands so my fingers aren't as flexible as they once were, and the hope of playing Barre chords is a thing of the past. So the fact that the string distance from 6E to 1E is bigger doesn't matter. Also the neck on the lower frets is bigger, and since I am not doing Barre chords, this doesn't matter. So, the guitar for me is a five star.
Been playing for about 7 years, all electric guitar. Decided to pick up an acoustic for.... pretty much no reason except that I wanted one! I've played a few acoustics and this I picked up this one for a few reasons. The action is fantastic, without a loss of tone. The finish is thin (which I really haven't seen before), and that provides for good aging of the woods. The Cedar top and cherry back/sides provide for a warmer tone and great projection. One thing I really noticed was that this guitar how balanced it is. Good and even projection on each string. Oh and the price is a steal! Buy this, and I promise you won't regret it! --- PS - this guitar does come with a really neat tortoise shell brown pick guard. The picture above does NOT do the real thing justice. :)
I went to my local guitar Center looking for an acoustic. My price range was around $350. INothing jumped out at me. The guitar salesman suggested I try the Siegel rustic burst. I played it in was blown away. It played easy and sounded great. I had the guitar for 4 months and absolutely love it. The only drawback I can find is it does not have a finished coat on the body making it easy to scratch. The guitars handmade in Canada in South sound great I would highly recommend it. For the price you can't beat this guitar.
Been playing electric (Fender MIM Std Strat, fantastic guitar by the way!) for about 7 years now, and decided last October that I wanted an acoustic to widen my skills in blues. Saw the reviews for this. My basic needs were: great quality for a great price. Let me say, this guitar fit that description perfectly! Opened it up and the view is beautiful. After tuning it up, it was pure bliss! The projection was awesome, and the tone was very warm. After playing for a few weeks, I found myself tuning it very rarely! It holds it tune like a rock. Tuned it to standard, half step down, and open d, and it held each one great! My only complaint is that the pickguard(not shown above here) is crudely glued onto the body. But that still is not enough to take that first star away. Stop contemplating and buy this guitar! promise you. Its worth it!
This is my first guitar, I got it for my birthday and have been playing for only a few months. It is fantastic! When I picked up this guitar I knew that it was right, it has great sound, the finish is great, and even though it's acoustic, it is loud enough to play at small concert venues, I don't even have to mic it. The only downside is that if you're just playing at home this guitar is very loud, and the body is a bit bigger which can hurt my arm after a long time of playing. Otherwise it is a fantastic guitar for a first time player or someone with a lot of experience. I will be playing this instrument for a long time.
I got the Entourage Rustic for Christmas, and have been playing it for about 3 months now. This is my first guitar. I have found it easy to play, and more importantly, the sound is incredible. It is physically a gorgeous instrument. My teacher has some amazing guitars, but he always wants to play the Entourage Rustic for a bit. He plays in several bluegrass and country bands, and is amazed at the quality of sound from a relatively inexpensive guitar, and is thinking about adding one to his collection. I could not be happier with this instrument.
Best guitar for the money. Cedar top sweet. Canadian made from old fallen trees. Great sound. My third Seagull. Highly recommend any Godin product.
I purchased this guitar a few weeks ago, and loved it from the start. The picture really does not do this guitar justice, it is a beauty, and apart from the quality of the pickguard, I couldnot be more pleased. I have been looking around for quite some time for a 'bargain' acoustic, with a good tone, and believe me, this is the one. It has the rich bass of a Martin, or a Taylor, but without the excess punchiness, giving it just the tone I have been looking for. This is probably not the best guitar for chords, because the bass end tends to overpower everything else, but it is perfect for finger picking, and gentle strumming. In short, this could easily pass as a guitar two or three times the price.
