Overview

Seagull has done it again - the S6 Entourage boasts a super comfortable slim neck and a solid cedar top. And as with all Seagulls, the finish is thin enough to allow your tonewood to naturally age, getting better and better over time.

I've been playing this wonderful instrument every day for 1-6 hrs a day and I'm amazed each time I pick it up that I didn't spend hundreds more. If you are looking for flash and frills, this isn't for you. However, if you have been searching for a sweet and crisp yet full and warm sound for less than a thousand bucks, buy it now. Taylor? Martin? You almost get what you pay for. With this beauty you get much, much more for your money. Pride in Craftsmanship is a hallmark of Seagull and this more affordable model is no exception. Besides, it just looks cool. The top is pressure tested solid cedar with wild cherry back and sides and a remarkably smooth silver leaf maple neck. No plastic with fancy names here! Only beautifully simple design with all the focus on sound. Stays in tune no matter how crazy I get and will be in my hands for many years to come. Thank You Seagull!

This guitar has a beautiful finish. I love the neck... well at least the way it feels. It was crooked. I took it to get adjusted. It had to be shimmed as well. It definitely did not fix the busing on the first 5 frets. Not really sure why. I am extremely disappointed and will be turning this one back into the store.

Impresive Sound

By B. Stewart

from Arlington, VA

Comments about Seagull S6 Entourage Acoustic Guitar:

I had not played often for many years but decided I wanted to relearn. I spent a couple of hours checking out some of the "deals" at the store. Just wasn't impressed with the sound. I asked the sales guy about a guitar that wasn't a massed produce product, but that wasn't way expensive either. He showed me the Seagull and I was imidiately impressed with the sound. Even compared side by side with others and long story short I bought it. Played so long I got blisters on my fingers. Even though I still am sore I cant wait to play each day. I had forgotten how much fun it is to play on a good guitar. If you are just learning or an experienced player, for the money I dont think this guitar can be beat.

Seagull S6 Entourage

By Gary L

from Memphis, TN

Comments about Seagull S6 Entourage Acoustic Guitar:

I have been playing guitar off and on for 25 years. I have been searching for that perfect acoustic that wont break the bank. Ive been looking at the Seagulls for quite some time and when I seen this one at my local guitar center (it was a used one btw) I couldnt pass it up. The guitar just fits me so well the neck on this guitar is awsome and the sound is great. I compared it to a number of other guitars in its price range and the Seagull is by far the better deal. OH and did I mention the beautiful finish wow this guitar looks fantastic! It might not have all the fancy bling but it does have what counts great sound and playability.

Impressive first impression

By M. Jim.

from Palmdale, California

Comments about Seagull S6 Entourage Acoustic Guitar:

I have been playing the electric bass for close to five years and have become very picky about good tone and sound, especially with my basses. I also play several other instruments and have just recently decided to be more serious with playing the acoustic guitar. This Entourage was the first acoustic I picked up and lo and behold, the sound and feel was fantastic. I loved the feel of the action on all areas of the neck, and the great tone of the higher notes (past the 10th frets). Chords as well as single notes have a clear, full, clean, and impressive sound. Plus, the colors of the wood were beautiful. Overall I was extremely impressed with the quality of the guitar for the price that I was paying.

You get what you pay for!

By Jim

from Cleveland, OH

Comments about Seagull S6 Entourage Acoustic Guitar:

I bought an Entourage dread acoustic about three years ago when I decided to get back into playing after a hiatus. I planned on the Seagull being a cheapo that would be replaced at the first opportunity. That is not happening any time soon now. The action was quite good out of the box. I did switch up to heavier strings. It has a clear voice that cuts through a jam session quite nicely. You must keep the thing humidified because it seems quite picky about that. Buy one. The only thing you'll find is that it will make it very difficult to consider a trade up later. It's that good of a guitar.

Great!

By Lou

Comments about Seagull S6 Entourage Acoustic Guitar:

I love my Seagull. I started playing pretty recently, so I'm definitely still a beginner. The guitar is really easy to play; I don't have to be any good for the guitar to sound good. This is a great guitar for a beginner who doesn't want to spend a bazillion dollars on a guitar but doesn't want to sacrifice on the quality.

Sounds like a Martin

By Noah

from Norfolk MA

Comments about Seagull S6 Entourage Acoustic Guitar:

I purchased this guitar a few weeks ago, and loved it from the start. The picture really does not do this guitar justice, it is a beauty, and apart from the quality of the pickguard, I couldnot be more pleased. I have been looking around for quite some time for a 'bargain' acoustic, with a good tone, and believe me, this is the one. It has the rich bass of a Martin, or a Taylor, but without the excess punchiness, giving it just the tone I have been looking for. This is probably not the best guitar for chords, because the bass end tends to overpower everything else, but it is perfect for finger picking, and gentle strumming. In short, this could easily pass as a guitar two or three times the price.

Incredible sound, incredible value

By Oscar

from San Antonio, Texas

Comments about Seagull S6 Entourage Acoustic Guitar:

I've had my Seagull Entourage Rustic guitar for almost two weeks now and I absolutely love it! First of all, the looks: it's a beautiful instrument with warm, rich colors and impeccable craftsmanship. The picture shown on the GC website is slightly different than the guitar I received in that my guitar has a pick guard and the color is not as light. I actually like it better that way. Now, for the sound: it has a rich, clear sound that isn't overpowering or too bright. The fret action is smooth and the neck is so comfortable. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone, especially if you're looking for a quality, handmade guitar at a price that won't break the bank. I also recommend the Seagull gig bag, folk-size. It fits nice and snug and has a good size zippered pocket that can hold music sheets, manual, etc.

Far Exceeds my expectations

By Ted

from Sherwood, AR

Comments about Seagull S6 Entourage Acoustic Guitar:

I got the Entourage Rustic for Christmas, and have been playing it for about 3 months now. This is my first guitar. I have found it easy to play, and more importantly, the sound is incredible. It is physically a gorgeous instrument. My teacher has some amazing guitars, but he always wants to play the Entourage Rustic for a bit. He plays in several bluegrass and country bands, and is amazed at the quality of sound from a relatively inexpensive guitar, and is thinking about adding one to his collection. I could not be happier with this instrument.

Comments about Seagull S6 Entourage Acoustic Guitar:

I purchased this guitar six weeks ago. I am not an experienced player, however, this guitar feels and plays so good I am putting in the hours and learning to play several songs. I have owned one other lower end acoustic and the difference is huge. The Seagull will stay in tune no matter how hard or long I play. The neck and fret-board feel like a much more expensive guitar. Sound. This guitar has a rich warm tone and always resonates well. Overall, I could not be more satisfied with my purchase. The build quality is excellent. The finish and attention to detail is excellent. Even considered a few guitars costing twice as much. Strongly recommend this to any level player. Quality is sorely missing in almost everything we purchase these days. Not the case with at all with this guitar. It is very well made.

    Great guitar

    By Brendon

    from Rochester, NY

Comments about Seagull S6 Entourage Acoustic Guitar:

This guitar is amazing. It has a nice warm sound and can get quite loud. This guitar is huge though. I do not recommend this to a small person. The guitar has a nice look, better than the pictures. It is unfinished and looks very pleasing. The tuners are AMAZING, I live in the worst climate for guitars, it is humid and wet one day and cold and dry the next, but these tuners keep it in tune. Playability... Action could be lowered a smidgen and the strings are pretty hefty. I believe the strings are 12's or 13'2. The guitar lacks some power on the high notes, but the low notes come out clean and crisp. All in all, a good guitar for the price. If you are a beginner who is serious this would be a nice guitar for you, if you are an intermediate then this is a good guitar. All in all, its a great guitar.

    Perfect

    By Michael Child

    from EB, MA

Comments about Seagull S6 Entourage Acoustic Guitar:

Been playing for about 7 years, all electric guitar. Decided to pick up an acoustic for.... pretty much no reason except that I wanted one! I've played a few acoustics and this I picked up this one for a few reasons. The action is fantastic, without a loss of tone. The finish is thin (which I really haven't seen before), and that provides for good aging of the woods. The Cedar top and cherry back/sides provide for a warmer tone and great projection. One thing I really noticed was that this guitar how balanced it is. Good and even projection on each string. Oh and the price is a steal! Buy this, and I promise you won't regret it! --- PS - this guitar does come with a really neat tortoise shell brown pick guard. The picture above does NOT do the real thing justice. :)

    Will stay with me Forever!

    By Christian Frahs

Comments about Seagull S6 Entourage Acoustic Guitar:

I don't normally take the time to right reviews, however, I"m that impressed with my seagull. I purchased this guitar for my birthday last winter. It is my first guitar, I haven't put it down since I first picked it up. I wanted a nice guitar without spending a fortune because I'm a new player, in my mid 30's, I wasn't sure if I would stick to it. It's been almost a year and I'm addicted. I would happily spend top dollar for this guitar. I take it with me everywhere I go and all of my musician friends can't help wanting to pick it up to play. Like me, no one has found one thing they don't like about it. It's comfortable and fun to play and the sounds that comes out of it is incredible. I don't see me ever parting with this beauty that has become a part of me. I own 4 other guitars now and this is still the one I play the most.

      Amazing guitar!!!

      By Anna Wagenhauser

      from Ohio

Comments about Seagull S6 Entourage Acoustic Guitar:

This is my first guitar, I got it for my birthday and have been playing for only a few months. It is fantastic! When I picked up this guitar I knew that it was right, it has great sound, the finish is great, and even though it's acoustic, it is loud enough to play at small concert venues, I don't even have to mic it. The only downside is that if you're just playing at home this guitar is very loud, and the body is a bit bigger which can hurt my arm after a long time of playing. Otherwise it is a fantastic guitar for a first time player or someone with a lot of experience. I will be playing this instrument for a long time.

      Pure bliss!

      By Michael Child

      from Eb, MA

Comments about Seagull S6 Entourage Acoustic Guitar:

Been playing electric (Fender MIM Std Strat, fantastic guitar by the way!) for about 7 years now, and decided last October that I wanted an acoustic to widen my skills in blues. Saw the reviews for this. My basic needs were: great quality for a great price. Let me say, this guitar fit that description perfectly! Opened it up and the view is beautiful. After tuning it up, it was pure bliss! The projection was awesome, and the tone was very warm. After playing for a few weeks, I found myself tuning it very rarely! It holds it tune like a rock. Tuned it to standard, half step down, and open d, and it held each one great! My only complaint is that the pickguard(not shown above here) is crudely glued onto the body. But that still is not enough to take that first star away. Stop contemplating and buy this guitar! promise you. Its worth it!

      Great guitar

      By Donald Butler

      from Boston

Comments about Seagull S6 Entourage Acoustic Guitar:

I went to my local guitar Center looking for an acoustic. My price range was around $350. INothing jumped out at me. The guitar salesman suggested I try the Siegel rustic burst. I played it in was blown away. It played easy and sounded great. I had the guitar for 4 months and absolutely love it. The only drawback I can find is it does not have a finished coat on the body making it easy to scratch. The guitars handmade in Canada in South sound great I would highly recommend it. For the price you can't beat this guitar.
