Can't be beat!

Comments about Seagull Entourage Spruce CW QI Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Like the previous reviewer, I'd owned many inexpensive acoustic (and electric) guitars over several years. Some good, some not. After really getting into acoustic, versus electric, I finally sold 2 or 3 cheapo acoustics, pickups, etc. and bought what I thought was a "good" acoustic/electric. I bought a Takamine. It was beautiful to look at, but it was made in China, and was totally unplayable out of the box. After installing a taller bridge blade and adjusting the truss rod, it was playable, but I never was happy with it. A friend of mine, around the same time, brought over his Seagull Entourage (sunburst with cedar top) to show me. After about 30 seconds of playing, I knew I wanted one. Well after reverting to my trusty old Fender for about a year, and letting the Tak sitting in a case, never played, I sold it. In the meantime, Seagull had introduced the Entourage with the spruce top, and I got one. I've played Gibsons, Martins, Taylors, you name it. This is the best guitar for it's price I have ever seen. I had it professionally set up, with the action low, and #12 strings are as easy to fret as #10's on most guitars. It's a bit plain looking, but the playability, tone and craftsmanship is impeccable, and that's what's important anyway, isn't it? Crafted in Quebec, Canada, of mostly local wood, this will be my "main" guitar from now on! Couldn't be happier with it. "Try it, you'll like it!"

Best I've Ever Owned, Bar None!

Comments about Seagull Entourage Spruce CW QI Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've been playing the guitar on and off for some 40 years. I don't consider myself a musician, and I'm not much of a guitar player as far as that goes. I've had several low-end guitars, but never really got much past the beginner stage. After doing much research, I bought the Entourage Qi (Black) simply because I've never had a guitar that I could call a professional quality instrument. I've been nothing but thrilled with this beautiful instrument since the day I took it out of the box. The tonal quality and action are unbelievable compared to the cheap imitations I've always bought. Today, I'm over 62 and play mostly for my own enjoyment. I thought that if I had a proper guitar, I could work on my technique and maybe do some solo work with which I could be happy. The Seagull did not disappoint! I'm playing licks today that I never thought I could get through. This guitar virtually sings. Slides and bends are incredibly easy compared to anything I've ever played before, even beyond the 14th fret! My only knock is that it came with medium strings which were a little stiff for me. I switched them out with Ernie Ball .010 gauge Extra Slinky Acoustic strings and voil?! I'm in heaven, and that built in tuner is SWEET!
