I won't lie to you, I'm a Seagull guy. I went in looking for a great guitar at a great price, and while I was open to veer away from my coveted Seagull-made guitars if the right deal were to be available, I simply couldn't do it. I tried out a bunch of different guitars in my price range, and the Seagull Entourage Rustic CW QI(T) won, hands down. First of all, the tuning machines are basically the solid chrome Ping tuning machine heads disguised with Seagull logos. I love this because I am very picky about my tuning machines and often swap out my guitars' machine heads for said Ping parts. Next, the nut width of the neck is narrower than the standard Seagull nut width, which makes it more comparable to a Martin or Taylor or something of that nature. This makes the transition for a non-Seagull acoustic player a little smoother. Third, the action is comfortable, but not too comfortable. If the action is too low and too easy to push down, sound is compromised, this is not so here. I believe this is the softest action a guitar can have without taking away from the sound or causing buzzing or things of that nature. The Godin electronics are flawless, and sleekly designed. As in the "Rustic" name, even the electronics stay true to this look, and the style and functionality are both top of the line. This is one of the few (if not only) Seagull in this price range with a cutaway, and that is important because it allows for more flexibility and mobility on the neck for those who like to utilize every available fret on the guitar. The overall look is nice. At first, I thought the sunburst was a little too much, but after a couple hours of staring at it, I have grown to love it. Finally the most important thing about this guitar is the sound. The guitar possesses a very full, vibrant, diverse sound. There is a slight twang in the timbre, but it is not overbearing, leaving for a warm and perfect acoustic sound for almost any style or application. I do not believe a better guitar can be bought for this price, but I must point out the negative. As with my old Seagull, the wood feels rather soft, so with some ruckus playing and misguided strumming, the wood can wear away and damage the surface more easily than other guitars. This is a small price to pay for an otherwise very powerful acoustic-electric package. Besides, I like when my guitars get that worn-in look, so this is not at all a negative for me personally. I would recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a guitar as in such a short time; it has grown so dear to my heart.

I've had this guitar for a year now. The sound has softened some with use. Still looks great but the wood is soft and blemishes very easy. Chrome tuners are great, action is good and it hold its tuning very well. The 6E string has developed an annoying buzz somewhere in the body and the 1E string has stayed a bit twangy. Most annoying is the Q1T pickup. It sounds very washed out either through an amp or into recording equipment.

Comments about Seagull Entourage Rustic CW QIT Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've played guitar for about 48 years, played a Gibson J45, J60 and have played several Martins over the years. I am very impressed with Seagull products. I play in an acoustic blues band and needed a 2nd guitar so I can keep one in open tuning for slide. I played this guitar in the store for over an hour comparing it to much pricier Taylors, Martins and Gibson and Fenders. Plus I compared to Epiphone MasterBuilt. The Seagull tone is richer, more even, louder, smoother....it beat every other guitar. They had two of these in store, both were equally excellent. Since I've had this every time I've played live I get compliments from other guitar players who all say it sounds fantastic. For the price you simply will not find a better instrument, you won't even find a better one at twice the price, regardless of brand.

Beautiful, well made guitar. I bought this with a 20% off coupon. Can't beat the price for the awesome quality of this guitar. This is a great alternative to buying a Mexico made Taylor or Martin.

Comments about Seagull Entourage Rustic CW QIT Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Love the tone, rich sound. I went to Guitar Center and played one of these along with other much more expensive guitars. Man you just can not beat this for the money. So far so good,(holds tune great) even when swapping back and forth with a capo. Only problem is I just can't seem to put this thing down.

I was on a mission to find a great guitar that wasn't made in China, and stumbled upon the Seagull and took it off the wall when I saw that it was made in Canada. The low action and mellowness immediately won me over, and ever since I changed the strings to Martin Silk & Steel .0115 - .47 the beauty of its sound continues to amaze me.

Best option for price, would put it against and choose it over friends Gibsons and Martins. All wood and handmade in north America. Only a few minor flaws i experienced. The soft top dents very easily but the sunburst stain makes it less noticeable, and its the sound that counts anyway. and there was a loose bolt on the tuning part that rattled when i played high B but i took in into GC and they fixed it within a few minutes and i was back to playing! overall a amzing guitar for an amazing price.

2nd Guitar for son. Did not want to spend $1,000, but also wanted a guitar he could play on for years. This guitar was it. Guitar teacher was impressed. You will need to buy good strings, but that is the case for all guitars. For the price it can't be beat.

Comments about Seagull Entourage Rustic CW QIT Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

There's a very good reason for the strong reviews this guitar gets -- it's just THAT good. To start with, the mids and trebles produce a tone with an ethereal sweetness that I've not heard before from an acoustic guitar. The Entourage's bass tones are, in my opinion, quite ordinary but then this isn't a $1,500+ guitar with solid mahogany or rosewood back and sides. It IS the very best quality acoustic guitar you will find within $500 or so of its price and the best VALUE of ANY. Some have criticized the QIT electronics and I can't comment on that because I've not yet played it through a good acoustic guitar amp. I can tell you that the on-board tuner is a very nice convenience and it tunes dead-on every time. Unless you're looking for "Martin" or "Taylor" on the headstock, you won't be sorry you bought one of these.

I just picked this up yesterday from the Guitar Center in Arlington Heights. After reading about Seagull guitars I wasn't sure if I believed all the hype. Everyone has their preference when it comes to sound. When I picked this guitar up I fell in love. I must have played it for a good 20 minutes already knowing I was walking out of the store with her. The action is great, the tones are simply amazing. It's easy to tell the craftsmanship put into this instrument Mike was very helpful and informative about Seagull guitars as he owns a few himself. We both can agree that these instruments sing.
