The Seagull Entourage Grand Parlor Acoustic Guitar offers an exceptional value for players of all levels. It's compact size recalls the shape and feel of a guitar from a hundred years ago, but that's where the comparison stops. This is a modern instrument with a modern neck, designed and built with the essential components of today's best hand-crafted guitars.
This finely crafted Canadian made instrument features select pressure tested solid cedar tops, wild cherry back & sides, cream double binding and the new Rustic Burst Custom Polished finish. Also this Entourage model features the Seagull Slim neck with a 1.72" nut width, which is great for players who are accustomed to a more traditional nut width.
Apart from the slim neck, the sound is what will surprise you. This Seagull Entourage Grand Parlor guitar is loud, with a strong midrange that makes it appropriate for just about any style, whether it's blues, swing, or folk. Add to that its portable size and you've got a guitar you'll want to take along wherever you go. Case sold separately.

I first saw this guitar in a ship near Tampa FL in 2006. I'd never heard of Seagull before that, and I've been playing for years. I tend to stick with higher end electrics like PRS and Les Paul's.. But this thing really impressed me. Took me until 2013 to finally get one. I almost missed it, but saw it in the back acoustic room of this shop. I played this little guitar for about 30 minutes. It played and sounded like a guitar that's normally $1000-1500. This Seagull is light, easy to play, and not too small to look weird on a big guy like me. It's fun to play, and sounds great. The neck plays like a Gibson or Taylor, and it looks great. It could be mistaken for a classical guitar, but it's not. If you're looking for an acoustic that looks, plays, and sounds great, but don't want to drop the big money, then get this. You can get the optional pickup, although I didn't. You will be glad you did! Mine didn't need any additional setup out of the box - just a little tuning and it was ready to go!
This is a well made parlor guitar that, in my opinion, comes in at a close second to more expensive Larivee parlors. The phosphor bronze strings it comes with were a little too thin and bright for me, but once I changed the strings to silk & steel strings, the guitar rang like a bell. I have many other acoustic guitars (a Taylor 12 string, a Gibson and and old Alvarez Yairi) and in many ways this one is more fun to play than those are. You won't get the volume of sound that dreadnughts give you, but if you are looking for a classic parlor guitar sound from a well made guitar built in North America for a reasonable price, you should check this one out.
