Overview

Many luthiers consider the combination of rosewood back and sides with a spruce top to be the standard that all other wood combinations are measured against. The Artist Studio CW Element is the flagship of the Seagull's Artists Series. Rich sound with ample dynamics and projection this guitar is equally at home on stage and in more intimate fully acoustic settings. This guitar is also an exceptional choice for recording. This model includes L.R. Baggs Element electronics.

Artist Series
The Artist Series are the upper echelon of the Seagull family. They are crafted in the Godin Acoustic Atelier by a select few luthiers using only their finest tonewoods, each hand-selected to ensure that the very highest standards are met. Features including pressure tested solid tops, solid back and sides, scalloped Adirondack Spruce bracing, custom polished finishes and fine aesthetic attributes, all contribute to an outstanding series of acoustic guitars.

Outstanding tone and overall value

By Vasily

Comments about Seagull Artist Studio Deluxe CW Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

For the price of an entry level Martin or Taylor made from laminate woods, you get a solid wood guitar that sounds absolutely amazing. Strong projection, great bass, and a nice sustain! You can't ask for a better guitar for slightly over $1K.

Fabulous guitar made in Canada

By Loki

from Portland, OR

Comments about Seagull Artist Studio Deluxe CW Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

For easily a thousand plus dollars less than a comparable Martin or Taylor you can have an all solid wood high quality dreadnought made in the western hemisphere, just north of the border in Canada. Of course, it's not fair to knock all Asian made guitars. Besides this Seagull Artist Studio Deluxe (bought from Guitar Center) I also own a Blueridge BR-371 parlor guitar (made in China), which is awesome, as well as a fine Taylor 316ce.

While shopping for a dreadnought, and playing the Taylors, Martins, and Gibsons along side the Seagull, it was a no-brainer. The Seagull costs about half the price of the marquee brands and sounded and played as good, or better than the more expensive guitars. Seagull is one of the brand names built by Godin in Quebec, Canada and all the instruments they make that I have played were high quality, very playable, and a really good bang for the buck. I also own a Godin MultiUke electric ukulele with a radiused fretboard which is a joy to play and sounds fabulous.
