  • Great Guitar For Average Player

As reviewed by John Sellers on 5/19/2009

I purchased this guitar when mine broke. I play just about every week in my church and was looking for an acoustic electric that was not too expensive but sounds great. This guitar is just that. It has a wonderful sound plugged in and not. I would recommend it to any beginner to average player.

  • BEST GUITAR I EVER OWN!!!!

As reviewed by JG on 9/14/2010

I had Talyor 410 for 7 years and sold it last year due to financial difficulties. I loved my Taylor so bad and I wanted buy another one this year but I couldnt afford that much of money so I did some research and found this seagull s6 on good review. after all the research I did for few days, I ordered one online without any hesitation. Shipping was so quick, only 4days!!! When I opened the box I fell in love with it, love the sound and action. I play for the church twice a week and the sound fit perfect for contemporary church music. Actually I was debating between this and martin dx but I dont regret of getting this at all!!! and all other players in band love my guitar. I would recommend to anyone.

  • A very versatile instrument.Tons of playability for half the cost!

As reviewed by Ricky Shaull on 12/11/2010

When I played this instrument before purchasing it, the first thing I noticed was how smooth and easy it was to play on. I own an Epiphone acoustic and even with light strings on that it can be difficult to quickly move between barre chords without your fingers cramping up real quick. In comparison the s6 felt like playing on butter. It's gorgeous to look at up close. I'm a player and a singer so the next important thing for me was how it would sound while singing. After playing with the s6 and then picking up some Taylors that were twice as expensive, I was astounded to realize I actually liked the tone of the Seagull better with my voice. Since then I've learned that the cedar top of the s6 is actually more complimentary to someone singing in the mid-high range than the bright-sounding spruce sitka top of most Taylors, which sounds great but also tends to compete for the EQ with your voice. I now happily own this guitar and have played it in concert, in worship at my church and a whole lot of jamming at home. The electronics are great and the built-in tuner is a lifesaver. Whether, plugged in or unplugged this guitar is an outstanding instrument!
