  • Great instrument fun to play and sounds great.

As reviewed by Jason Selby on 4/16/2014

I recently purchased this instrument and found that it was so easy to play. It sounds amazing and is made very very well. It did not come. With a case and as far as I could find out there is not a case made for it. I ordered a Gretsch G2165 lap steel gig bag item # 0996461000 online from zzounds.com for $29.00 . It came today and fits the. Instrument like a glove. I hope this helps.

  • Very Nice! Now what?

As reviewed by maruska on 7/1/2014

The instrument itself deserves the 5 stars, it is well done, sounds clear and sweet. Honestly I was at GC looking for a cheap traveler guitar, something really cheap that i can just throw into my car and holds on the 120F inside the car while until is lunch time and I can prectice with it, but they only have this 129 mitchel guitar that It sounded mute and out of my budget anyways. I saw the dulcimer and I was curious about how this instrument was tunned up and how would sound. In no time I was playing some tunes on it, my wife looked at me and said that sounds beautiful and I ended buying but next day. When I came back following day to do so, the GC associate recalled about me playing the dulcimer. So this instrument has something...I started to write an instrumental song on it, but then what?

  • Fun in a small package

As reviewed by Cathy on 6/18/2014

I have almost no string instrument experience but I grabbed this so I can play along with my guitar playing hubby. I usually just sing but I thought I could handle this. It's a lot of fun so far. We've done some songs with the standard DAD tuning and some with CGC tuning depending on the song. I've been able to wrap my head around the idea pretty quickly. I'm hoping that after this instrument gains a following there will be more availability of music ideas for it. Right now we're mostly converting Strumstick and Dulcimer music or I just wing it based on the notes.
