Impressed.

I had never played a schecter before, but ordered one on the advice of a good friend of mine who also plays. I like the look of the guitar, especially the vintage white color, and it played better than I thought it would. Each and every note on the neck sustained without so much as a rattle. This guitar delivers a lot and for much less money than their competitors. I am now considering picking up the C-1 classic with the vintage sunburst and the S-1 with the black cherry finish, and both together will be less than $1500! Nice.

Simply Amazing

I was looking for a mid range priced guitar when I got this. What I did not expect was a high end guitar with amazing quality. The Schecter Tempest is anybody's guitar. The body is solid and can handle bieng dropped, not recommending you try it, with minimal damage. The coil tap and 2 humbuckers allow you to go from Shadows Fall to BB King in sound. The coil tap is probaly the best feature. It aloows you to make the humbuckers simulate single coils. The neck is very smooth and easy on the hands and this overall solid design has no flaws I can think of. I recommend leaving your computer and going out and buying this guitar right now.

where did schecter come from?

i love this guitar. i started playing it and after about 5 minutes i forgot i was playing a $549 guitar. The neck feels strangely like a gibson. the quality is outstanding for the price. i had never even heard of schecter and i was thoroughly surprised. great guitar. great value. buy it.

My main axe!

I have owned various Schecter guitars for about three years now. I currently own five and use all regularly during shows, but if I had to pick my "baby", this would be it. It was given to me by my wife last year for my birthday and while I appreciated the thought, I wasn't sure this guitar would suit my style. Fast and heavy. I was wrong! This guitar is extremely well balanced and the neck is very fast. The Duncan designed pickups are perfect for everything from metal to blues. The only real complaint (if you could call it that)is the switch location for the pickups. Being up top on the guitar (picture Les Paul), I tend to hit it when playing fast and find it best to tape over it during shows as I only use the neck pickup for everything. Overall, a very nice guitar for the money and my personal favorite.

Beautiful look and tone?

This guitar has always been one of my favorites, not just cause the way it looks, but the way it sounds. It has a powerful punch on those open parts as well as a great tone on those power chords in most rock music now days. And for the metal-heads out there who may be wondering, "how well does it squeal?" Ridiculously. A great guitar clean and distorted. If you have the money, I highly recommend this guitar. More versatile than a les paul.. and at half the price.
