Best.Guitar.I.Have.Ever.SEEN!

By Robert Lawler

from Scottsburg, Indiana

I had just recently bought this guitar and had to wait two weeks to get it.It was soooo worth the wait.Every second of it just made it even better. The guitar has an amazing feel and is very fast. The neck is very very smooth. The frets are XJ.They fit perfect for someone who loves to play melodic. The Seymour Duncan invaders are just beautiful.I love the sound that I can get out of these high output pick ups.My friend has a Schecter 6-string Damien Elite and took out the EMGs and put in some Seymour Duncan Blackouts.THese Invaders completely blew them away. With melody, warmness, and blues. These pickups are the best in the business. Now to my favorite part. The Ultimate Floyd Rose 1000.I am in complete love with this thing. It holds tune like an animal will hold its prey.Never lets go of it.It takes bout 20 minutes to tune when you are putting on new strings.People have always said something bad about this guitar well there isn't anything that goes below God-Like!I am very proud to own this guitar.

This is a Masterpiece

By THOMAS NEILSON

from Portland, Maine

I had been wanting to buy this guitar for about a year when I finally bought it. And nothing about it disappoints me (except how long it takes to tune, since it's a double locking Floyd Rose). But once you are finished tuning, it will stay there no matter how much you abuse the tremolo. If you like playing metal or punk, or any of their many subgenres, this guitar is perfect for you. This guitar plays fast. The strings bend far effortlessly, even in Drop D tuning. It's easy to push the strings down. The Seymour Duncan Invader pickups are so brutal, especially in the bridge pickup position. They are not muddy sounding AT ALL. And when you switch to the neck pickup with distortion, it creates a beautiful tone which is great for melodic soloing. The pinch harmonics are easy to hit, and sustain well. And it sounds great clean, even if it's not plugged into an amp. The tremolo is one of my favorite things about it. Just hit a harmonic and mess around with the tremolo to hear some screaming from this guitar. This guitar is surprisingly light. And the finish just looks incredible. I am a huge Avenged Sevenfold fan, but I didn't just buy it because Synyster Gates uses it. I tried out many, many guitars, and watched so many videos before finally deciding that this was everything that I wanted. If you buy this, I would recommend keeping at least one other electric guitar without a tremolo system, so you can keep this one in whatever your most used tuning is, and use the other guitar for different tunings.

This Guitar Kicks Any 6 String in the balls With a Steel Toed Boot.

By The MetalManiak

from Elephant Butte, New Mexico

I waited on Schecter for 7 months to recieve this guitar and wow, worth every second. The floyd is so easy to do squeels and dives with. I've had this guitar for 6 months and when i got it I was at intermediate level of playing. Now sweeps are a breeze, Tapping is second nature, and alternate picking is faster and more articulate than ever. The action MAKES you WANT to practice. I have owned an Ibanez RG Prestige and I sold it after I got this. And just yesterday I changed the strings for the first time and thats 6 months of hard practice and abuse. Plus the strings took me 10 minutes to change even with the Floyd. Its amazing and I can safely say I will never play another 6 String besides Schecter. P.S. Its good for ALL playing styles besides country and pop because if you play pop go buy a gibson.

As Good As It Gets

By Ethan

from San Diego, CA

This is an amazing guitar. Frets, fretboard, and neck are very smooth, and the cutaway is such that it is no problem both reaching the 24th fret. This guitar is very fast and I find that I am able to sweep pick very easily on it. The edges on the guitar look a little sharp in the picture, but it is actually very comfortable to play both sitting and standing up. The paint job is very glossy and does not scratch easily. The custom Invaders are great pickups - very versatile since it has coil tapping. They have a great rhythm and lead tone, and when split, a beautiful clean tone. The Floyd Rose tremolo is awesome, you just have to make sure you have it set up right if you are changing up the tuning or string gauge. But once you have it set up properly, it practically never comes out of tune - mine stayed in for four months straight with me playing on it for at least an hour every day. The only thing I would change about the guitar is that it should come factory tuned to Drop D (because that's what Avenged Sevenfold pretty much always plays in) with Ernie Ball Skinny Top Heavy Bottom strings, but otherwise it's perfect.

Best guitar I've seen

By You'd like to know

from San Diego, CA

So ya I tried the regular custom out in the store cause I love A7X then got this baby. Had it for almost a month now and its the best guitar I've ever played, seen, and heard. I haven't seen anything like it. The pickups are awesome, it feels great, great shredablity, doesn't hurt that there's a floyd rose, and it is good for pretty much any sound you want to get out of it. I'm not just sayin this cause its a Schecter and Syn plays it, it really is the best guitar you're gonna find for a long time.

A BEAST (not a harlet)

By Mitch

from Ashley,Michigan

This guitar is beyond any other guitar in every way imaginable. The body to many guitar players seems odd and may look uncomfortable but this is not the case. The mahogany body is very well balanced and not too heavy, and is VERY comfortable to play standing or sitting. The pickups scream when you play through distortion and give you luscious tone with a clean setting. I don't want everyone to think that I'm just writing this based on every other review. I owned a Schecter Synyster Custom black and silver but traded that one in for this one just because the color scheme on this one is unbelievably beautiful. You will turn heads with this guitar. I am a big fan of AX7 and Syn and with the right setup you can get his sound. This guitar will bring you back from the Afterlife and help you to ascend to the status of rock god. The ebony fretboard lets your fingers glide effortlessly. I own two Schecters: this one and the C-1 classic and i am impressed with both they give me amazing tones and sounds for any genre. If you can i would HIGHLY recommend this guitar to any player that is looking for a heavy sound and to open eyes.

Wicked Axe

By Ethan

from San Diego, CA

I have owned this guitar for about 3 months now, and i must say this guitar is about as close to perfect as it can get. The neck and fretboard are very smooth and make sliding and even moving up or down the neck a breeze. The guitar is incredibly versatile too. The guitar easily handles As I Lay Dying-type riffs and sounds great for Blues and all sorts of clean music as well, and of course it's great for Avenged Sevenfold. This is a great shred guitar too - the strings are very close to the fretboard which help get more sound out of tapping and hammer-ons/pull-offs, etc., and the higher frets are incredibly easy to access which helps so much with things like the speedpicking part at the end of the Beast and the Harlot solo. And for me at least, the sustain on this guitar is more or less identical to Syn's in A7X's albums for example like in the Seize the Day solo. I love the weight of this thing, it' s not so light that it feels cheap but not so heavy that it's uncomfortable to play standing up with a strap. The Floyd Rose tremolo is a nice touch to, it's really fun to play around with and is great for dive-bombing that you'll find in some songs. I like how you can make the notes go lower than their original sound too. And this stays in tune very well. I play for at least an hour and a half every day and do a lot of soloing and bending and stuff and I check the tuning every couple weeks just to make sure it's still in tune, which it usually is. I would recommend this guitar to anyone, regardless of their price range. If you're a big elitist, don't shy away from the fact that this only costs $$$$ when you could spend 5 times that on a Les Paul. Trust me, I have a also have a Les Paul. The sound and feel of this guitar are just as good (or better for metal) and it is way easier to shred and such on.

Great Guitar

By James

from Sacramento, CA

I just got this guitar a little over a week ago. As an owner of a Gibson Les Paul Standard, when I first went into GC to try this guitar out, I didn't have very high expectations. I was blown away. It is much easier to play on than my Les Paul, and the high notes are far more accessible for shredding. And despite the price, this guitar is heavy (made from mahogany), and just feels really nice to play on. It's tone is amazing. A very wide variety of tones can be achieved. It has the best metal sound of any guitar I've ever played, but also sounds better with the acoustic simulator on my Boss ME-25 than my Les Paul. The punk rock tone is really good as well, but I still favor my Les Paul for that, this one is just a little too heavy and dark, but unless you have something like a Gibson Les Paul Standard, you will still be very pleased with its punk rock ability to say in the least. I would recommend this guitar to anyone with any price range.
