Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Stiletto Stealth-4 Electric Bass Guitar:

At my age my P bass just got too heavy to play long sets, so I did my research and went to the Columbia SC Guitar Center to buy an Ibanez SR500. I chose that model even though I just don't like that chocolate look on that model's finish and told my sales guy (Jay Morgan) who took time to listened to my concerns. I said I wish it was available in hard finish black. He said, "Here, try this". I was blown away by this Schecter Stiletto Stealth4. I mean, love at first sight. I played it and swore it was playing itself. I do not buy on impulse. I am an engineer, and everything is researched and planned out. It was a mystery as to why was the price so good on this top notch bass, that plays like a dream, sounds great, is light, and looks smokin' hot. I just couldn't figure it out but changed direction and walked out the door with it saving $200. I am thrilled with the purchase and I play this baby for hours at a time. You cannot go wrong with this bass.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Stiletto Stealth-4 Electric Bass Guitar:

I can't believe nobody reviewed this thing! I played the stiletto in guitar center but it was a little blah. It had a very familiar feel to my ibanez. I ordered the stealth hoping for the best and it's almost a totally different guitar. It is a dream to play. Set up nice out of the box. It's drop dead sexy, and it doesn't weigh a ton. Get out there and get you some of this!

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Stiletto Stealth-4 Electric Bass Guitar:

This is one of the best sounding and best playing basses in its class. And frankly, it just looks Killer! Ultra cool flat black finish, sleek, comfortable design and superb playability. Long 34" scale 24 fret neck with extra jumbo frets topped off with Ernie Ball .045-.105 Slinky"s, gives it the super sweetness right out of the box. Mine came already set up very well. Just a minor pickup adjustment and a new battery is all it required. The depleted battery is strange since this was a brand new bass. And I mean depleted! 4.3 volts! Aside from the battery, I have no complaints. The MM and the P pickups are a thunderous combo. I keep the blend knob centered and the 2 band eq controls maxed. It rattles everything in my practice space. Great bass for metal but also sounds great for other styles. The eq and blend controls can get you any tone you seek. This bass sounds, plays and looks amazing. In my opinion it is the best bang for the buck. Hands down. This bass is in the $800-$1000 quality range. Dont be fooled by its relatively low price tag. I am already considering the 5 string.

The bass is fine, if not for the horrible service.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Stiletto Stealth-4 Electric Bass Guitar:

I've played dozens and dozens of basses and none of them have felt this good. It has great tone, and has a huge range of sounds available, but it is the incredible playability that makes this a real stand out. I have payed a lot more for a bass, but I have never had a better one.

I bought this as my first real bass. I am enjoying it quite a lot and would definitely recommend this one for anyone who has a fairly tight budget but wants to dive into the world of bass.

I've had this bass for about 3 months now and I love it ! Bought it of the rack at Guitar Center and couldn't be happier. I own 5 basses including a '78 Guild B-302 FS and a new LTD B-4E and I have to say, this is by far my favorite. The tone is amazing with the P and M pickups. I've played it thru several amp/ cab combinations and love the feel and sound on all of them. This came set up perfectly from GC. I also purchased a RR hard case. Oh, and this thing looks Great !
