My main babe!!!

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Solo-6 Standard Electric Guitar:

What can I say about this guitar... it's awesome!!! I got this one in february and it has become my main guitar, I just love it, the tone the versatility, the neck, the sustain, the tuners, hell there's nothing not to love on this girl. I have it gold with a black leather strap and looks just amazing, I play it through a Marshall amp with a custom cab with Celestion Vintage speakers, the sweetest thing ever. If you dont believe me how good is it, check out Seether's videos recording Shaun uses this guitar all the time. You can't get anything better that this!!!!

Total Win. Period.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Solo-6 Standard Electric Guitar:

I was in the market for a new guitar for a few months, and for a while I couldn't decide if I wanted a new rock/metal guitar, or something that would be good for jazzier stuff. After some hard thought, I said screw it, I'm getting a guitar that works for everything. Now I didn't used to be a Schecter guy, but after playing the C-1, I was completely changed. I did a little more research on their guitars, and I came across this one: The Solo-6. (I had to order it, as they didn't have one at my local store). When I brought it home that first day, I quickly found out that it's the most Versatile guitar I have ever played. I love how easy it is to change the tone shape with the push/pull knob, and the dual Duncan Designed buckers are literally perfect for enything and everything. Also, the brown burst color gives it a real vintagey look, so it's beautiful to look at as well. The only thing I'm still getting used to is the weight. As I used to play a Strat, it is a little heavier, but not unbearable. In short, it not only lives up to my expectations, it blows them clear out of the water! For $500, this guitar's a steal!

Unreal guitar for the money

By Andy

from Massachusetts

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Solo-6 Standard Electric Guitar:

I have 4 other electric guitars, only one of which has humbuckers. The problem is that it is a very expensive PRS Custom 22 that I don't like taking to gigs. I wanted a less expensive HB equiped guitar I could use to gig with that I would worry less about. I tried a Tempest in our local Guitar Center and thought it played and sounded great, but I didn't love the body shape, so I ordered a Solo 6 Standard in brown sunburst. Well, I got the guitar about 2 weeks ago and I cannot put it down. The build quality is outstanding. The finish, binding, fretwork, and fit are all fantastic. It looks and plays like a guitar that sells for at least twice the price. Even the nut is well cut from the factory, which isn't always the case with even USA made guitars. The excellent quality hardware (Grover tuners, TonePros bridge and tailpiece, Tusq nut, solid feeling switch and pots, Duncan designed pickups) are a huge bonus.

Good Tone

By Nikolas Campbell

from Flat Rock, MI

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Solo-6 Standard Electric Guitar:

I got this guitar for christmas and I thought that it not be that good, but I was wrong. The 24 frets and a scale of 24-3/4'' feels right, the coil splitting is good for that fender single coil tone, and string through body for the better sustain. I would recommend this guitar for any style of music. Great Guitar!!!!!!!

Pretty sweet!!

By jo shmoe ya know

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Solo-6 Standard Electric Guitar:

I played this guitar at the local Guitar Center here and I gotta say, I was blown away! I play lots of fast Technical Metal, so I need a guitar that is capable of many things, sounding good, looking good, and feeling good are just 3 of the bonuses on this beauty! I prefer Medium thin necks (think Jackson Compound Necks) and this felt just right. The pickups werent the "Best" I have ever heard, but if you know what you're doing you can make em' work, or replace them. The set-neck construction gives near endless sustain and tonal strength to the guitar. The mahogany body and neck gives it a Rich tone to match its weight! So beware, this guitar isnt as light as, say a Jackson SLS soloist, but is no where NEAR as heavy as a 1950's Les Paul. This guitar sounded great with mass overdrive and very clear on a clean channel. The only thing i would change would be a Ebon fretboad instead of Rosewood (but thats just me!). All in all though, this is an all around amazing guitar for its price range, and heck even in general!
