The Schecter Hellwin 100W amp head is powered by four EL34-B, one JJECC83S, two EI12AX7EH and one Ruby 12AX7. The Focus control is a global "tweak" that adjusts the amp's input frequency response to custom tailor the low frequency response for different styles of guitars. Unlike many amps that simply reduce the input signal to compensate for an active pickup, this input activates circuit changes in the amp that will compensate for active pickups' typical lack of low-end extension and high frequency sparkle rolloff. The Clean channel features Bass, Mid, Treble, Volume, Gain and Vintage Modern controls. On Lead Channel I and Lead Channel II featuret Bass, Mid, Treble, Volume and Gain controls. They also share a Variable Noise Gate. Footswitchable effects loop and MIDI make this head even more versatile.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research SYN100-HE Hellwin Stage 100W Tube Guitar Amp Head:
First off let me say that this thing is simply the greatest amp I have ever played! When Schecter first started making amps I was skeptical to say the least. I am kinda picky as most guitarists are when it comes to their sound, and bought this head blindly without having played it because most guitar center stores dont carry them in stock. I was not dissapointed to say the least. Lets start of with some of the features. Two dedicated lead channels, both with Volume, Gain, Bass, Mid, and Trebel adjustments, and two different voicings for the clean channel with the same Volume, Bass, Mid, Treb, and Gain knobs, make this a very versital amp. I play stuff like August Burns Red, Avenged Sevenfold of course, to All American Rejects, and even some country. This amp can handle it all! It has two different inputs for Active and Passive pickups, of which I change between quite frequently depending on the tone I am going for. The Tweak Knob is also handy depending on how you want the signal to be processesed. I have fooled around with it a bit, but I generally keep it at the normal setting. I STRONGLY recommend getting the Cabinet to go with it. This baby cranks! and sounds absolutley beautiful. Easy 5 out of 5! You will not regret it!!!
