Great Bass-Requires little maintenance

By Amy

from Peoria, Arizona

I bought this bass 8 years ago and still play it regularly. I am impressed at how well it has held up given the abuse it's taken! It sounds great despite a few problems I noticed throughout the years: -the volume knobs have cut out a few times, but can be easily cured by turning it all the way down and up again -the E string vibrates against the fretboard when notes lower than A are played. This can be fixed by raising the strings a little above the fretboard. -I noticed that the battery died once or twice since I bought it. Obviously replacing it with a new 9volt is the solution. - The most recent problem (within the past week or so) is that the nut fell off the place the chord is plugged into. Easily fixed by replacing the nut. These were not major issues, and for anyone looking to purchase this bass, I highly recommend it. I hope this review was helpful!

This bass is a great for a beginner wanting to learn how to play because it has an awesome sound with or without pedals, nice handling, and a cool body design so they get the whole learning expirience with style and great sound!!! Definitly worth the money you should spend on this bass.

Hands down great bass!!

By That one guy

from Albany, NY

I got this bass 6 months ago and it's great. The EMG 40hz pickups are a dream, I get the tone I want and with frets going all the way up to 24 I can play it anyway I can think of. If your into bass I 100% recomend this Schecter, or for that matter any Schecter because they stock every bass with EMG pickups and the tone for bass is killer. And the prices are awesome.

Schecter Omen

By kyle

from New Jersey

got it a couple of months ago. ive been playing it through my toneport and this thing is a beast. the action was really low when i got it and a few days ago the low e string started to buzz on me pretty badly so i think i have to get the truss rod or action adjusted. looks beautiful and plays nice but the parts could be better quality.

All i have to say is this bass is awesome. I have had this bass for about a year now and it still sounds amazing and there is barely any scratches on it. I have only needed to change the battery once in it.I play this bass with ernie ball regular slinky bass strings and i can go all the way do to drop A.you would be out of you mind not to get one of these

My Omen is great!! I use it for all my shows!!Our guitar player also plays a Schecter Exotic Star. Being a 5'2" female I have found "other" brands just to heavy for me...This is perfect! Sound is excellent and battery life is long. Our band gets EXACTLY the sound and quality our fans love... The price...Yes...A STEAL...Beginner or Pro. Schecter is what you want!!!

I must add

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

To add to my review below, I thought I must add, to be completely honest about this bass, it scratches was too easily. I've only had this bass since December, and it already has way too many noticible scratches. I don't think I would play this bass onstage very often, on account of everyone can see the scratches under the lights.

Schecter Omen 4

By Schecter Bassist

from Navarre, FL

This bass is awesome. I got it about four months ago. It's very easy to get to the 24th fret. Yeah. 24 frets. This bass is crazy. I dont know any people who use the 24th fret very often on bass, but it's there just incase. This bass came with Elixer strings, which for those of you who dont know what they cost, it's $40. Yeah. Awesome strings. And I've never had to change the battery yet, even though everybody says this bass has a short lasting battery, but it's lasted since December, and it's still working great. Not only does it have a killer body, but it has perfect weight also. It's should cost more than $350, so you could say its a steal at it's price. I recomend it to anyone.
