Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Keith Merrow KM-7 7 String Electric Guitar:

I would advise to do research on the sound characteristics of the Nazgul bridge pickup...it is going to be a bit harsher in the mids.

One incredible guitar

By Daniel

from Miami Florida

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Keith Merrow KM-7 7 String Electric Guitar:

I can only say one word, WOW. Keith Merrow designed one hell of a guitar! Just everything about this axe is amazing. The Swamp ash body is light and has a nice, tight attack to it, the Nazgul/sentient set are powerful yet super clear(you can do much more than metal with this guitar, the nazgul is surprisingly dynamic for how powerful it is and cleans up well), the neck is nice and thin, the 26.5 inch scale length lets you use thinner strings and they stay tight while notes stay clear, the hip shot bridge is a dream, the finish is incredible(I have the white one), the neck is stable(carbon fiber reinforced truss rod). it has glow in the dark inlays, the list can continue endlessly with what I love about it! I own many high end guitars and this thing has become my favorite. There's nothing bad I can point out about this guitar. I play through a Marshall JVM boosted by a pro-tone bulb and it sounds incredible through this rig. If you want a 7 string with custom shop features, look no farther! This is basically the SLS blackjack on steroids, and to make things even better, it has no ugly mounting rings for the pickups! And to answer the final questions, yes it Djents and yes, this nails merrow's tone.

BOW DOWN TO THE BEAST!!!

By Frank

from Tampa, FL

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Keith Merrow KM-7 7 String Electric Guitar:

This guitar is bad to the bone. Played one today at GC Tampa and was blown away. First thing I noticed when I picked this beast up is how awesome the neck profile is. I own a Jeff Loomis Sig and a C-1 Hellraiser and the KM-7 has a much thinner profile to it. I think Schecter and KM really knocked this one out of the park. So much easier to play than my JL sig and the Seymour Duncan Nazgul/Sentient pickups have all the attack of active pickups like with the EMG 707's but none of the crazy feedback and unwanted noise. Super tight and great response, I was in metalhead heaven holding that guitar. I would try to find that same model, not sure what they're calling it but it wasn't the trans white satin. All I can say is that it was freaking beautiful. The features and playability make this guitar worth a hell of a lot more and compared to all the other schecter 7 string models this one definitely stands alone at the top. Love this guitar and if you're looking for a 7 string, you really got to try this guitar out. Run it through a Peavy 6505 and notice how you don't even need a noise gate with this axe. Schecter...you did it again and it reaffirms why I only play Schecter.
