The Schecter Jeff Loomis JLV-7 NT 7-String Electric Guitar puts a winning combination of design and hardware in your hands. The JLV-7 adds a 7th string (or low B) to the mix, offering the advancing guitarist a wider range of arpeggios and runs to execute from any position, not to mention the ability to go deeper than before. This V-shaped guitar is made of ash with a set neck for durability and increased sustain. Schecter's technique of Ultra Access construction was used to give maximum access to all 24 frets of the maple fretboard, adorned with metal cross inlays for rapid and unambiguous guidance. Powerful EMG Active 707 Pickups with a single volume knob and 3-way switch offer simplified tone control while Grover tuners and a TonePros TOM System Bridge keep things in tune throughout your performance.
The original Rotomatic® with an improved higher ratio gearing. The 18:1 ratio provides for finer tuning and greater stability. The finer gears provide smoother tuning and a higher degree of backlash elimination
Maple Finger Board
Very bright and dense, Maple is highly reflective. When used on a fretboard, Maple encourages tremendous amounts of higher overtones and its tight, almost filtered away bass favors harmonics and variations in pick attack.
EMG Active 707 Pickups
The 707 has been leading the pack of 7-string guitar pickups since its debut in 2001. Before this model was introduced, existing 7-string pickups sounded muddy and dull on the low B string, especially when trying to hit artificial and natural harmonics, but the 707 eliminated all those problems. Featuring Alnico V loaded wide aperture coils we were able to beef up that Low B tone and at the same time provide a more responsive super tight overall sound.
3-pc Maple Neck
Made with 3 pieces of maple for extra stability. 3 piece necks can withstand the test of time. Where standard necks may show aging defects from temperature and moisture changes throughout the years, the 3 piece neck will stay nice and straight for a lifetime of playability.
