This guitar will blow you away. The picture does not do it justice at all, and it stunning in person. The tones are sick, and it plays amazingly. Its truly a beautiful guitar, while it may seem a bit risky to buy online, I assure you its well worth it. For the price, you get an extremely versatile guitar that sounds and plays great. I'd buy it now before they jack up the price!
this guitar is one of the best out there! i started off with an eiphone special II and i wanted something that could handle heavier stuff. This guitar stood out above the rest, the black cherry finish looks much better in person than in the picture. The EMG 81-85's can get the sickest notes. The weight isnt an issue at all, the neck is super thin and easily accesable. the inlays really casue this guitar to stand out as well! if you're looking to buy a guitar that can handle some heavy stuff this is your best bet, espicially with the price being so reasonable!
This is the third guitar I purchased from Guitar Center, this one I ordered online. Have had it for about a month now. I have an ESP LTD EC1000 that I keep in standard tuning, a Schecter Damien Elite 7 string in standard, and I wanted this guitar for drop tuning with heavier strings. Schecter guitars are mean looking, and this one is no exception. I got it in see-thru black. The clean tones aren't as bright as my ESP, but it handles drop c very well. I've had no problems with it all, after only a month and playing it every night, playing songs along the lines of Chevelle and Breaking Benjamin, and recently Dillinger's Escape Plan. It's as light, or lighter than my ESP. Haven't actually weighed the two, but just going on feel. I prefer the longer scale lengths, so this one fit that bill.
This is just another over priced knock off. Frets pop out, body is extremely heavy causing it to be unbalanced. If you want a quality, sturdy and rangefull guitar, ESp all the way.
not only does it have good sound, its so easy to use and play. yah ofcourse if you dont take care of it , i could see how things could go wrong, but never the less amazing quality for the money. Ive played it at shows and it sounded ,pretty much... awesome... id buy it if you want a good clean guitar
I literally have the same story as the other customer, I started out with a Epiphone Special 2 then upgraded to this. Now that I am into heavier music, this is perfect for my tastes. I would suggest this to anyone looking for a great deal and heavier tone.
The Hellraiser special plays like a dream, set up nice and low action, no buzz, or freting out. Easy to play neck. One of many Schecters I own and love
For the money I couldn't ask for anything more. It's a solid guitar with a gorgeous finish, I have yet to meet a person who doesn't ooh and ahh when they see it. There is a single downside to this guitar and it is the pickups. The EMG 81 is a good pickup, is sounds great distorted and the clean is twangy but usable. I'm not a fan of the 85. It's muddy and sterile when clean, it has no character and doesn't sound good distorted. You can drastically improve the duo by switching in a 60 for the 85 due to the improved cleans you'll get, but once i replace the EMGs with a set more my style I'm never putting this guitar down.
Allright, another great schecter. just playes amazing. a joy to play. great neck, I love the neck radius. if your considering this axe go for it. as soon as I picked it up I knew she was comming home with me.
