The Schecter Guitar Research Hellraiser Solo-II Passive Electric Guitar is fully-equipped and ready to raise some you-know-what. It comes with a mahogany body and set 3-piece mahogany neck. The rosewood fretboard is smooth with 24 extra-jumbo frets and a 14" radius for rapid play all along the neck. Schecter USA pickups produce plenty of tone control and raw power. Black chrome hardware and a TonePros tune-o-matic bridge complete the list of appointments. Case sold separately.
Schecter locking tuners
Schecter Locking Tuners feature a locking screw pin to lock the string into place for greater tuning stability. Details include a 19:1 gear ratio allowing for precise fine tuning adjustments, removable knobs, threaded peghead bushing, and a 10mm diameter peg hole.
3-pc mahogany neck
Made with 3 pieces of mahogany for extra stability. 3 piece necks can withstand the test of time. Where standard necks may show aging defects from temperature and moisture changes throughout the years, the 3 piece neck will stay nice and straight for a lifetime of playability.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Hellraiser Solo-II Passive Electric Guitar:
I was looking for good looking Les Paul style (single cutaway) guitar with classic rock friendly pick ups. I also wanted to make sure that the guitar was "balanced" properly (no neck dive) - because a few guitars I looked at did suffer from neck dive (where the neck drops toward the floor when you let go with your fretting hand). I saw this Schecter (but it was the black one) at my local GC and messed around with it. I loved it, so I ordered the Cherry Burst one on line. It seems to be extremely well made, and it plays and sounds well. I have limited experience, as I am a fairly new player - but I do own an EVH Woffgang standard, as well as a Schecter Demon 6. Anyway, I am very pleased with everything about this guitar.
Oh, side note: The back of the guitar neck at the local store was lightly sanded off very nicely - I thought it was that way from the factory. However, the guitar I received did not have the sanded off neck.... so perhaps in a hot sticky environment, the painted runthrough neck may prove to be a problem... but in my AC's house, it's no issue at all! And I don't think I'll be on a stage any time soon.... (-:
