After several bad experiences with two epiphone models I opted for the Hellraiser solo 6 as a replacement. First off right out of the box it was flawless. I could not even find one fiber scratch! The guys at schecter personally inspect every guitar after production and fix any mistakes before sending it to the dealers. You can watch this on youtube. The weight of this guitar is nice, not too heavy not too light that the headstock drops when I let go. The look of the black cherry is absolutely beautiful. The construction is rock solid and the hardware is well made. The tuners actually hold the tune rather well for schecters own brand of locking machines. The sound is amazingly warm and deep. The pickups provide a great clean tone when tapped but do lack some volume when split. As for using distortion on humbucking mode its killer! The neck is a bit chunkier than I am used to but I really don't mind as it is very well contoured and actually quite comfortable. It does have a very thick finish on the neck which I satined with some scotch brite pads. Silky smooth now and whether you believe it or not pretty fast. And unlike most les paul styles the access to the upper frets is unhindered. I honestly can't find anything to complain about this guitar its a winner and hands down the best guitar I have ever owned. I never thought about giving it a try until I played one in a shop. It blew me away with the sound quality and looks. I definitely recommend this axe to anyone who wants a top of the line guitar for a mid range price tag.

Normally I don't name my Guitar's, but everything about this Guitar is larger than life, The Beast...
The guitar is built like a tank, the body is heavy but nice, the neck is fairly thick but very comfortable, fast and precise... Even with my medium/small hands find it very comfortable, and pleasing to play...
The tone is awesome, heavy but very clear... I can't say anything bad about this Guitar, in fact I would consider it a masterpiece... I have several Schecters and have never been disappointed, they have always exceeded my expectations...

The craftsmanship on this guitar is outstanding.
I dropped tuned it with a thicker gauge and wow, This guitar sounds like a beast. Solid gain with mediocre cleans. (This baby wasnt built for cleans)It's heavier than the rest of the guitars in my collection but its's not a problem. SOLID GUITAR FOR A GOOD PRICE.

a couple years ago i played one of these at guitar center. since then ive wanted my own. and now i do. its beautiful. pictures do not match up to pulling out of that box in direct sunlight. its a solid, heavy, comfy, natural guitar. a little thick with the neck but i like it and not as bad as a les paul. it sounds amazing too. the coil tapped emgs let you do ANYTHING with this guitar. incredibly versitile. a good pluss, is that the battery cover has no screws so you dont worry about stripping out the wood. its a quick, easy change. for the price, you WILL NOT beat this guitar. no gibson, fender, or esp will come anywhere near this. the ONLY bad thing, is that the 22-24th frets are a little tough to reach with the pinky but they dont get used all that much. its still very good for soloing, but this is the perfect rythym guitar. a must buy. i am fully satisfied and wont be looking to buy a guitar for a very long time

              perfect!

              By Alick Swiden

              from white bear lake, mn

i finally got my hellraiser solo 6 after years of wanting one. i first found it in a guitar center and even that floor model made me want one. its beautiful, very few of these pictures do it justice. nice and heavy, its solid mahogany after all and i dont think it has too much chambering in it so that adds to a very solid, full tone. the neck is a little thicker than most, but still comfortable and fast. not nearly as thick as a gibson les paul, thats just too much. i will say reaching the higher frets (19-24) is a little more work than its worth, but im more of a rhythm guitarist anyhow. the coil taps let you bring a clean sound as close to an acoustic as possible. and a boss cs3 helps a lot too. over all, a perfect rhythm guitar that can also solo very well and its beautiful and sounds great. definitely worth it!
