Overview

The Hellraiser Deluxe FR electric guitar, Schecter's newest addition to the Hellraiser family, is just as infernally elegant as its siblings. The mahogany body is capped with figured maple, finished in crimson burst, and bound in black. The 3-piece mahogany neck plays super fast and smooth with a rosewood fretboard and 24 jumbo frets for effortless bending. The Floyd Rose trem is your ticket to maxxed-out whammy bar action without fear of tuning retribution.

Like the rest of the Hellraiser clan, the Deluxe guitar has a pair of high-output EMG active humbuckers, an EMG-81 in the bridge and an 85 in the neck, for searing leads and tight sledgehammer riffs. The Schecter guitar features mother-of-pearl crescent inlays that run the length of the fretboard, coming together in a unique 12th fret pattern that you just have to see to appreciate. Finally, the Tune-o-matic-style bridge and thru-body stringing ensure singing sustain.

Good Sound, Good Metal

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Hellraiser Deluxe FR Electric Guitar:

Being as it has a standard EMG 81/85, it's definitely a metal guitar. The inlays make it look sweet but I bought the blue finish which I think looks better. I have owned this for about 6 months and like it. It is mahogany so it is quite a bit more heavy than a basswood style Ibanez. The neck is a bit fat rounded (U-shape) more than thin (C-shape). Which is why I prefer the Ibanez necks. The EMG 85 neck pickup sounds really awesome on clean and has lots of bass sound to it. On distortion the neck pickup works very well too. I'm not sure I will keep it just because of the neck but will be sad to see it go because it looks awesome. Definitely a great price and a keeper for most people (Beginner/Intermediate Metal would be a great guitar). The pickups alone would cost 200 bucks, so realistically its a 300-400 dollar guitar. Anything without stock EMG81/85 usually have terrible pickups and need replaced so again a good deal if you like those pickups.

suprised

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Hellraiser Deluxe FR Electric Guitar:

this is my first guitar bought online. the service was yeah. but we're here for the guitar! i think this guitar is beauitfully crafted. right out the box, i had to tune it that's it!! i've hammered on the trem, my first so i am sure i am alittle rought with it. but it stays perfectly in tune. so far i've play metal on it sounded great from rhy to soloing. played alittle blues with the neck pickup which also sounded great. the only real problem i have is with the cover that hold the pickups in is plastic which i find to be alittle lame considering my cheaper ibanze rg471ah has a metal one. the other minor problem is the action i thought to be alittle high but that's no biggy. the amp i was playing this on is a line 6 spider 2 30w
