BEST SEVEN STRING EVER!

By

from Tennessee

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Elite-7 Electric Guitar:

For the longest time, I was skeptical about 7 string and 8 string guitars. My skepticism of these guitars changed completely Christmas Eve of last year when I went to a local music store and saw the Schecter Damien Elite 7 string on a guitar rack behind the counter. Being curious about the guitar, I kindly asked the man if I could play it. The man said I could and then handed me the guitar. When I hooked it up to a well distorted amp, it sounded incredible and I just had to get one. A couple of months and payments later, I finally got my very own Schecter Damien Elite 7 string. Here's my thoughts on the specs and sound of this guitar... 1: The weight of this guitar is fairly light and well balanced which makes it more enjoyable when you're playing live, practicing with the band, or just sitting and playing. 2: I'm not going to lie, the extra jumbo frets took a little bit to getting used to. But with the smoothness of the maple neck and the feel of the strings up against the rosewood fretboard, it didn't take long at all. If you're a guitarist that like to do sweeps, taps, runs, and alternate speed picking over the scales, This is definitely the guitar for you. 3: I was actually stunned about how the active EMG pickups sounded in this guitar. Although I've never been a big fan of active EMGs partially due the fact you got to stock up on 9 volt batteries and some of them just sound like garbage, these actives sound really cool. Just depends on what amp you hook it up to I guess. Overall, this guitar is a true metal machine. After I played this guitar for the first time, I instantly became a fan of Schecter guitars because of the quality of the sound, design and feel of the instrument. They take time and effort to making some of the best guitars I've ever played. I honestly don't think you'll find a better guitar with the true metal sound like this one anywhere else.

The Best Birthday Gift Ever...

By

from Tampa Bay, Florida

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Elite-7 Electric Guitar:

I purchased this guitar for my son for his 16th birthday. While most kids this age want a car for their birthday, my son wanted this seven string guitar desperately. The guitar itself was absolutely beautiful. The sound quality of this guitar is simply amazing. Nice deep tones. The crimson color is magnificent and really stands out among his collection of 12 guitars. The guitar is not too heavy. He said it felt really good in his hands. Being a lefty, he often has trouble with certain guitars not accommodating the way he prefers to hold his guitars when he plays, but this was not a problem with this particular instrument. He proceeded to play the heck out of the thing all night long and he is exceptionally happy with it. Mom reaped all the rewards of a really happy kid. Tons of hugs, kisses and even a Facebook status about how awesome Mom is. Mom's live for this stuff and this guitar and Guitar Center did not disappoint in the least. As for Guitar Center, they are always our "go to" place for my sons instruments, replacement parts and all our guitar needs. They shipped quickly. The guitar came beautifully packaged, wrapped very intensely to protect it and all its components. My son will be making beautiful, albeit LOUD, music on this bad boy for a LONG time to come. It takes a LOT to impress a 16 year old kid but Guitar Center manages to keep my son happy...and when the kid is happy, Mom is happy. And truthfully? It's all about Mom. Mom is pleased.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Elite-7 Electric Guitar:

I played this guitar at GuitarCenter, when i first picked it up and started playing, I was confused on why it felt a little wierd and my playing was off, Thats when I realized it was a 7 String! The neck is so great you can barely tell its a 7 string! Its not hard to adjust from a 6 string to this 7 string!

my first 7 string

By

from Chenoa,IL

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Elite-7 Electric Guitar:

This is my first seven string guitar and i absolutley love it. Ive been playing regular 6 stings for about 12 years so i know the difference between a good quality guitar and a lesser quality one. The moment i pluged this guitar in it was like "eletric dinamite" in my finger tips. I bought this thing after playing at a near by guitar center. I love the metalic black finish. I use EMGs in my favorite 6 sting guitar and its amazing to have them in my seven string too, beautiful sound and amazing looks on this guitar, what more could you ask for? I completely advise buying this guitar if your into getting a 7 string.

Blew me away!

By

from Stillwater, Oklahoma

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Elite-7 Electric Guitar:

I have several Japanese made guitars. I always wanted a 7 string and went to GC and asked to play a Schecter C7 but they did not have one in stock. So, the salesman pointed me to the Damien Elite7. Sat down, started to play it and it played very easy, clean, and mean! I love the neck. It is wide but surprisingly easy to play. Man, get down to the store and check one out today!

And I jizzed, in, my pants!!

By

from Knob Noster, Missouri

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Elite-7 Electric Guitar:

This guitar is amazing! I own a Schecter Damein 6FR as well as other various guitars. I played the Damein Elite at my local Guitar Center and it blew me away! I tried rippin' out some seven-string sweeps and the neck was just smooth as butter. I love how much note sustain you get from the low B string, the EMG 81's really do thier job! The finish is very nice and the inlays are beautiful! I was so suprised when I grabbed because it was so light. Everything I expected out of this guitar was surpassed. Amazing tone, amazing look, and amazing feel. Another magnificant guitar from the genuis' at Schecter.

Amazing Off The Floor

By

from Spencer, Massachusetts

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Elite-7 Electric Guitar:

So I bought this guitar today after wanting a 7 string for years. I have had a Schecter for seven years and this new seven string has reaffirmed me confidenced in this company. The sound is amazing, especially with the EMG 81/85 pickup combo. The tone is amazing, even with the added low string, which I have heard on other guitars come out muddy. With this guitar, I can finally achieve the sound I've been looking for. Not on ly that, but I took home a model off the floor because there weren't any boxed models in stock. Think of how many people have played my guitar, and yet it still sounds and looks amazing. Schecter is perfection. End of story.

Great!

By

from Florence, Ky

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Elite-7 Electric Guitar:

This guitar's a tank, seriously. I have already done my fair share of abuse to it, and nothing has happened to it. There's a tiny chip on the finish on the back from my belt buckle, and there's a dent in the side of the neck from where one of the guys I was jamming with ran his guitar into mine accidentally. I would definitely gig with this without backup, and I have. There's nothing wrong with this guitar as far as reliability and durability goes.
