Overview

Schecter's Damien Series bass guitar is for those who like it dark, heavy, and loud. Not only does this bass guitar share a name with the evil child from "The Omen", but it comes with a sinister satin black finish, black hardware, and black pearl bat inlays. The Damien Bass's arched basswood body features a lower cutaway, rosewood fingerboard, and 24 jumbo frets. Just looking at it, the Damien has hard rock written all over it. And rock Damien does, thanks to two EMG HZ series humbuckers and 4 control knobs for volume, blend, and active 2-band EQ with selectable treble frequencies.

Pick up a Schecter Damien bass and prepare to whip the metal militia into a frenzy.

MY PRIZED POSSESION

By xHaydenx

from ocala, fl

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Bass Guitar:

When i bought this bass, i was origanally searching for an esp eclipse, but when i saw this thing i had to play it. The moment i plugged it in and played it was love at first sight. Although it may be a little gothy with the bats, the design and color schemes set it off. It does scratch easy, but in my eyes that shows your passion. The hz emgs are incredible, however i might upgrade to the 35s just to get a little more power. The tones out of this when played with the proper gear will make you melt. I played it on a 4x10 GK cab with a markbass head before i bought it. I have a peavey 115 max combo and it doesnt do it much justice. Anywhoos, this thing is my pride and joy and not a day goes by that i dont play it. Its a good price and a must have!!!

power to match looks

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Bass Guitar:

I've owned my Damien for maybe 2 months now after playing on an Ibanez RDGR for about 5 years, and I have to say this bass is simply amazing. You can get the low, deep growls, you dream of doing and to the other extreme you can get clear well defined mids/highs as well whenever you feel like playing something more melodic. The tonality is great and it has an amazing overall feel. very light, and short action so you can play fast. it comes with d'addario light strings which was a plus for me cause I use those by default. Amazing sound on EMGHZ pickups. This bass is definitely worth a lot more than what its priced at. Oh, and the it looks cool haha.

Good Bass

By Ben

from Bellevue Washington

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Bass Guitar:

This is the first bass that I have bought on my own. For the price it gives a great sound that can go with any style, not just metal. The finish is high quality but scratches easily (no picks). I've had problems with the bridge but nothing major. The only complaint i have is that you get a weak sound from slapping.

great bass

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Bass Guitar:

Good all around bass. the pickups are real nice, the fret work is awesome, it is real comfortable to play, and it goes with any music. slapping isnt the best on it, but it can make up for it with its great tone. and it isnt too heavy.

Not bad at all.

By Kaylin

from Dayton, OH

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Bass Guitar:

I havenۡt had a single issue with it in the year I've owned it. I had a slight fret buzz on the first fret, but I also play in drop D. This is the 3rd Schecter I've owned and I donۡt think you can go wrong with it.

Bes Bass I've Found

By Ned

from New York, New York

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Bass Guitar:

This bass is great!!! Its light and it gets great deep and high tones from those sick emgs. I've been playing with it for a year and no complaints. The neck hasn't warped a bit and the bass only gets better with age. You can't really hate on this!!!

all around great bass

By Kev

from Kansas City, MO

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien Bass Guitar:

From the moment I took it home i fell in love with this bass. It's a really smooth play and it is well worth the money. There was a little bit of fret buzz when i first got it but that can be easily fixed by adjusting the truss rod. You can pretty much get whatever sound you want out of this bad boy.. it is really good for drop tuning as long as you get heavy gauged string.. i recommend this to anyone who want's a sweet look and an all around good bass.
