wow

By ghost20

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien 7 Electric Guitar:

Wow. I walked out up to my car after band practice one day and my Damien 7 was sitting in the trunk. This is my first seven string guitar and it is amazing. The satin black finish is beautiful and the bat inlays give it more of a sinister look. The EMG pickups give it an extra crunch on palm muted riffs. When I first played this guitar I was overwhelmed with the extra string, but after one or two days I felt like I had been playing one all my life. This guitar is fantastic for any kind of low and heavy riffs, and is an excellent choice if you are looking for a 7 string.

The ultimate 7-string

By MetalFreekz13

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien 7 Electric Guitar:

This guitar is just beyond amazing. When I first saw it, I just knew I had to have it. The craftsmanship is just so awesome. The matte finish on the body. The beautiful bat inlays. The EMG-HZ pickups. This is just an absolute beauty of a guitar. Plugged into my Crate Power Block, this baby squealed like perfection. The distortion was too perfect. When I flicked the switch and switched it to clean tone, this baby just a nice sparkling tone that was just plain beautiful. Now this baby was built to LAST. Me and my fellow guitarist both play 7-strings and when we play live, this baby just outperforms. She stays in tune and doesnt give me any problems. I love this guitar and if you are thinking about getting a 7-string, do not pass this one up. This is the only 7-string you'll need!

Heavy!!!!

By Ronkimon

from Baltimore,maryland

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien 7 Electric Guitar:

This guitar is perfect for a guitarist that is on a budget. The guitar is high in craftsmanship. This guitar should be priced higher. The sustain is amazing. The strings last longer on this guitar. I know this because I have the same gauge and brand of the strings in 6-string on my fender ... on my fender I break a string like every 4 months. On the schecter the stock D'addario strings lasted over a year. It's been over a year since I bought this guitar no problems at all.

Great guitar

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien 7 Electric Guitar:

This guitar is great! The EMG's can play very heavy distortion yet it can sound clean. The neck is fast and the bat inlays are awsome. This thing stays in tune for a very long time. The 24 frets are great if you play up the neck often or not.The grover tuners helps alot to keep the guitar in tune. This guitar is made and sounds like a guitar twice the price. This guitar will last you a long time.I reccomend it for people wanting a 7-sting or needing one.

Solid guitar

By Imbiana Bones

from Orlando Fl

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien 7 Electric Guitar:

I picked this up used and it was probably the best money I have spent. It was my first 7 string so I wanted to start cheap. It is really heavy but that doesn't bother me. I personally can't stand bolt on necks but this one isn't too bad. The pickups are PASSIVE EMGs so they aren't amazing. It keeps a tune perfectly and feels like a beast. All in all it is a very solid guitar and I am glad I picked it up. I just can't wait to get my Agile Septor 727 :)

heavy hitter

By nate

from poquoson VA

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Damien 7 Electric Guitar:

Ive had this guitar for about a year now, its a beast of metal. i play more of a deathcore style, and man this thing fits the bill perfectly. its my first seven string but i own 2 ibanez's as well, this thing blows them away. the passive EMGs still pack all the power of the actives with the simplicity of passives. the cleans are beautiful, and sweeps are smooth and defined. the distortion will blow your mind. the neck is thin enough to play quickly up and down, but thick enough to feel substantial and sturdy. grover tuners make it hard to get this guitar out of tune, even with massive bends on both the low and high strings. its not light but its not the heaviest either, and the damien can survive rough shows like a champion. its a brutal guitar, i highly reccommend!
