I've owned this guitar for two years now, bought it used in mint condition in 2011. My only complaint is how much of a pain it is to manage a Floyd Rose bridge, but once you get the hang of it, this guitar can easily be the most reliable in your collection. Love the pickups and the sustain I get out of the neck. Action is perfect and easily adjustable. Overall fantastic guitar, Schecter nailed it again.
This thing plays like a dream. Well built and better than I ever expected. Can 't stop playing it. Worth the money. If you haven't tried one yet please do yourself a favor and go try one out. Very comfortable and versatile and has the Gibson or Fender Sound. The see thru black really brings out the maple wood. Came set up from the factory perfect and ready to play!! The Floyd Rose works impeccable and stays in tune.
I've had this guitar for about a month. This is an amazing guitar. For starters it feels comfortable, your fingers just glide across it easily and the action is very low it's enjoyable to play. The quality is Great, it's amazing for its price. It has some weight to it like a Les Paul, and you really get that Les Paul tone out of it. The color is really nice, although depending on the lighting it may look differently. It did need to be set up, although it was playable it wasn't exactly "Perfect" and I noticed a Tiny bit of fret buzz. The action to this guitar was very low, it was really nice and took absolutely no effort to play. Really good for Sweeping. It's given me a little more than i expected and i play on buying Schecter if I ever get another instrument.
This guitar is well made and came flawless. Playable right out of the box. For price of the guitar is worth more. This guitar neck is thin and the cutway in the back allows you to reach higher register notes. The flyod rose works great, Stays in tune when wammied. The pickups are great rock pickup's classic, moderm and old school metal. I don't know about real heavey metal but with the right amp or pedal I am sure that is possible. I have les paul and It is a great guitar but I need something that fits me. I need something that sounded like a les paul and playied fast and had more modern features. This one fit the bill. I have a prs se great guitar too. But the temelo never seemed to stay in tune. Great guitar, very versatile and sounded great. Try out at Custom C-1 at GC and see what you think. Also good to test before buying. peace Lambo
I've been playing the Les paul studip gothic for years and i picked this up about a year ago and love it. It's not a les paul but it's still a great guitar for the value. They play really fast and allow for great sweep picking. the c-1 seems to be solid construction and light weight at least compared to gibson but like i said no problems so far. i wish the would have put nicer inlays in the fret board like they did with the c-1 classic but i can live without it. overall A and i would recommend to any guitarist as long as they like a little bit bigger frets.
The guitar is great looking and feels excellent in hand. The neck is slim and comfortable. However, its so slim I have to very slightly change my approach on barre chords to avoid the 6 string sliding off the edge of the fret. The neck joint is truly a thing of beauty. I'd swear it was neck-through. The upper fret access is phenomenal. All of the hardware is of outstanding quality, as well. The only thing that I didn't care for was the Custom Custom pickup in the bridge. While it doesn't sound bad and would certainly suit the preferences of many players, it was not capable of the bite that I wanted. It is, of course, a lower output pickup, so this wasn't really a surprise. I swapped it out for a JB trembucker, and now I've got the guitar I was looking for.
Pros- This guitar is very nicely crafted, looks really cool and is versatile in almost all playing styles. it also opens up a new world with the floating tremolo and whammy bar....it has good pickups and wont shatter like glass if you drop it. Cons- the tremelo can be quite confusing if you dont research it well and know what your doing.. its also hardto re-string it....id recomend watching some vids on youtube.com to help other wise he guitar is great..but i moved on to somthing diffrent
I love playing Schecter guitars becuase they are always a joy joy to play, and this is no exception. I am a huge fan of the C-1 guitars that schecter puts out because of their light weight. But just because it's light doesn't mean it's going to fall apart. All of the schecters i have owned are still with me and are still playing perfectly. A great thing about this C-1 is the tremolo system that ensures your guitar will never go out of tune while using it. I recommend this guitar to anyone playing any style of music. It's just awesome.
Out of 6 of my guitars this is definatly my favorite. Floyd rose trem helps keep the guitar in tune even with heavy whammy usage. I play in low tunings and most of my other guitars have a hard time holding a low tune and sounding great at the same time, but this guitar does both. Great price for a guitar of this quality. Pick ups sound great through a high gain amp as well as a clean sound. Looks great as well as it sounds. I am looking forward to adding one or two more of these to the fleet. Thank you schecter!
This guitar is a jem. I have had it for about a year now and it has yet to disappoint me. The pickups are great for classic rock and blues. The locking tuners and the Floyd rose make sure this thing is always in tune. also the double cutaway gives more than enough room to reach the higher frets. I love the playability of this thing and the factory set up is awesome. The only thing i dont like is the finished neck. also the finish and inlays look spectacular in person. i would recommend buying one right now.
